Fantastic tour with Ronald - Ronald was our tour guide and he was awesome! He speaks English well and loves to share his knowledge of the area. He also has incredible skills in finding animals, like monkeys & sloths, and spiders and other creatures hiding in the plants & trees & shares his scope to see them up close & then shares photos after trip. He made our 8 round trip from Jaco a magical experience. The breakfast & lunch were very good too. He is a true professional!

A day absolutely... - An absolutely beautiful day! Perfect transport, impeccable food.
Our guide Tyron practiced his French and the excursion in the park super. He knew the places where the animals hid.
I recommend 😎

Fantastic nature tour - This tour was fantastic. Our guide Hazel was the best. She was able to spot the hidden animals and set up her scope so pictures could be taken. The beach was great soft sand and minimal waves. Lunch was great. Glad we did this tour.

Skip the volcano and just do a beach trip - The beach part of the trip was okay, it was nice weather, I honestly don't think this beach or ocean is the prettiest in that area - the hike was not hard at all and groomed the whole way. Our tour guide was great too. The volcano part of the trip, which consisted of a trail to see the Volcano wasn't groomed at all and muddy and really nothing to observe on our way - one Tucan, no other animals at all - could've skipped this part. We did skip the longer trail apparently, because the volcano was fogged in and you couldn't see it anyway. I would pass on the volcano part of this and book just a beach trip.

Disappointing - Ronald was our guide on Saturday, February 14th. He had promised that we would definitely see certain animals such as monkeys, sloths, and perhaps white-tailed deer, this unfortunately was less that we had hoped. Most animals we saw, with the exception of capuchin monkeys, were only seen through his camera lens. We saw a spider, dragonflies (which we see frequently at home), pencil snake, and a few others. There were many various groups, so very loud. The animals likely stayed hidden from the noise and movement. We enjoyed the walk and occasions discussions about different animals. I was asked to translate into french (I'm Canadian and speak both) by our guide to a family from France. I didn't mind but it took aware from my experience. The beach experience was not really pleasant. The surf was rough and the changing/bathroom area was very dirty when it came time to change out of our swimsuits. No cleaners in sight!
***Finally, we would like the photos we were promised by Ronald. He had apparently downloaded them to our WhatsApp but when we went to see them this morning, they were not there! Could you please ask him to email them to johncolacci@hotmail.com and/or louisecolacci@ gmail.com?
Perhaps we would have had a better experience if we would have gone mid-week...
Thanks for listening,

Worst Tour in Costa Rica - This was the worst tour I have been on in Costa Rica. We were picked up 45 minutes late due to traffic (but no other tour pick-ups were delayed at our hotel). We were pumped to see animals and for the 90 minute ride to the park we were told we were going to see sloths, monkeys, caiman, etc. Everything was through the lens of the guide with the exception of the monkey. They said don't take pictures the guide will and give them to you. That is because you can't take the picture. You need a high power lens. I feel like I have fake photos.
The crowds were awful. We were constantly being told by other guides to get out of the way.
The beach is a joke. The water is rough. There are no chairs. We had to sit on tree stumps for an hour.
Breakfast and lunch were average at best and I didn't want to eat lunch at 3 pm.
Don't go on this tour.
