This educational 45-minute ride is accompanied by a resourceful bilingual tour guide revealing tales about the region and keeping an eye out for wild inhabitants. Upon arriving, changing facilities are available. A brief stroll leads to the inviting hot spring pools and the nearby river. Five impeccable hot springs offer the relaxation of a natural clay mask, alongside the option of a refreshing dip in the transparent river waters varying in depth from 2 to 6 feet. Family-friendly entertainment includes three natural rock slides. After an exciting and fulfilling trip, a traditional Costa Rican meal awaits.

Authentic immersion - This was a fantastic experience and we much appreciated getting out into the jungle and having a typical Costa Rican meal in someone’s home. The hot springs/river were lovely…the pools well maintained and clean. We got there early and were the only ones there along with our guide, Mel, for the first part of our visit. It was heaven to get away from the tourists and to be immersed in the culture and nature of Costa Rica. Mel was personable and knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. Pura vida!

The Perfect Valentine’s Day in the Jungle - This was such a relaxing and unique experience while we were in Manuel Antonio, and getting to do it on Valentine’s Day made it even more special.
Our guide was amazing from the start. He picked us up right on time and immediately made the whole day feel easy. On the way to the hot springs, we stopped for coffee and a quick snack, which was such a nice touch before heading into the jungle.
Before getting into the hot springs, he took us on a walk through the cool stream nearby, pointing out different currents and little details along the way. It felt adventurous but still calm, like we were easing into the experience.
Once we made it to the hot springs, it felt peaceful and tucked away. We did mud face masks and just soaked in the warm water, surrounded by jungle. Spending Valentine’s Day relaxing in natural hot springs in the middle of the rainforest felt pretty perfect.
Our guide brought us fresh pineapple, butter cookies, and fruit punch while we relaxed, which made it feel even more thoughtful. We were also able to bring our own alcoholic drinks, which was a nice option if you want to make it a little more celebratory.
After the springs, we had a local lunch that was absolutely delicious. It felt like the perfect way to end the experience. We were dropped back at our hotel right on time, which wrapped everything up smoothly.
If you are looking for something relaxing but still connected to nature, this is such a great choice.

Friendly folks, had a great time. - We had a great experience. Tour guide picked us up from the hotel and drove us to the place. Place is very well maintained, not commercialized at all. Very nice people.

Mel was awesome - Our guide provided pineapple, water and juice and towels. If you are unsure you should bring a towel. Some rocks can be slippery down to the river so plan accordingly. There is a bathroom for changing if you need to change into / out of your bathing suit.
Our guide Mel was very informative and friendly and made us feel very comfortable!
The springs are HOT but they were warm and nice and relaxing.

THE BEST! Do not book a Hot Springs Tour with any other company! - I booked a hot springs trip with Costa Rica Tropical Adventures at the last minute, and they could not have been more awesome! My family had an amazing, authentic experience with our guide, Damian. He pulled over along the way at this beautiful spot to find a poison dart frog to show us, took us sliding on the natural slides in the river, and then to relax in the hot springs.
We got lucky that we were the only people on the trip that day, so Damian graciously deviated from the normal plan and took us to Dominical beach to shop for souvenirs, and then we decided to have lunch at a little brewery right there. (This is not normal, so don't expect it! LOL.) I think the long ride there and back from our hotel in Manuel Antonio was just as much fun as the hot springs itself, because Damian was such a hospitable and knowledgeable guide. We learned so much about the history of the area, palm oil farming, and Costa Rica in general from him.
Do not bother looking at any other tour companies for this tour. I tried booking with several of them and the customer service left much to be desired. This is not one of the huge, impersonal tour outfits. With Costa Rica Tropical Adventures you will have an authentic, amazing experience. Thank you again, Damian, for making it such a special day for our family. Pura Vida!

Amazing Experience and Wonderful Guides - We had an amazing experience with Tony and Henry on our Hot Springs adventure. They explained the local history, plant and wildlife - they even had us get out of the car a few times to check out particular plants and animals! The hot springs and mud bath were so relaxing, and then we had lunch after, which may have been the best part. We were served by a local woman who cooked for us while we were at her house! Finally, Tony and Henry care so much about the locals living in the jungle - they look after and help the local children with school supplies, uniforms and various different things needed throughout the year. Not only was it an amazing tour, but we are also helping remote jungle communities at the same time.

Eccentric but cool! - This experience was not our typical excursion. We were picked up in an SUV not a company vehicle which is uncommon for this area. Our excursion group included me and my boyfriend, our guide, our driver, and the guides girlfriend. The ride up to the thermal pools is not 45 minutes it is more an hour and 30 minutes. Our guide told us a lot of interesting information about the area and Costa Rica on our ride up! Once we reached the thermal pools the relaxation began. The pools are beautiful and well kept with a beautiful jungle view. We were offered a natural face mask and lots of pineapple, which we very much enjoyed. Since we were such a small group they gave us a lot of choice in our excursion and let us choose when to leave. Once we left we all went to a delicious place for lunch. Overall, very cool experience just not your typical touristy experience.

Excursion failure 😠- Shuttle never showed. Canceled last min without call. Took my money and had to file a dispute with my bank because I couldn’t get a hold of anyone or anyone from TripAdvisor. Not happy
