Amigos de Amigos del Río para toda la vida - We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Amigos del Río rafting the beautiful Savegre River, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Manuel Antonio! From start to finish, the entire team was exceptional—funny, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They struck the perfect balance between keeping things light and entertaining while clearly prioritizing safety, which made everyone in our group (ages 12–54) feel comfortable and confident on the Class II–III rapids. On the way to the river, we made a convenient stop where we could grab empanadas and drinks—such a nice touch. Throughout the journey, we also learned so much about the local area, including Quepos and Costa Rican culture. A special shoutout to Luis, who went above and beyond to make the experience educational and interactive. He introduced us to various plants and herbs along the way—letting us smell and even taste them—which added such a unique and memorable element to the trip. One of the most magical parts of the day was a short hike to a stunning waterfall, where we had time to relax, take photos, and enjoy a snack before continuing down the river. And in a truly unexpected moment, we even helped rescue a lost hunting dog near the river—an adventure within the adventure! After rafting, we returned to the office for a delicious, traditional Costa Rican lunch that was the perfect ending to an incredible day. Huge thanks to Jesús and Luis for creating such a fun, safe, and meaningful experience. We highly recommend this tour and will absolutely be back again! 🌊🌿

fun in the jungel river - Amazing experience of river rafting in the jungle of Tulemar. We all had fun from 53-9 years old. Jesus, our boat master and instructor, was very professional and really funny, he told us many stories about Costa Rica history. Safe and great activity for everybody, with a big adrenaline pump.

Best tour and guide of our trip - Maybe the best thing we did during our 10 day stay in Costa Rica with ADR's 10-in-1 Adventure a close second – and that's saying something considering we did a lot of cool things during our 8 days in CR – which included in-shore and off-shore fishing charters and ATV adventures. The Class II - III rapids were perfect for us (two couples in their early 60's). A lot of easy paddling down a beautiful clean river amongst spectacular surroundings and then the occasional drop with short stretches of fun rapids mixed in along the way. The tour had a very 'private tour' feel to it. Our raft was just the four of us plus our guide Juan Carlos. And while on the subject of Juan Carlos "JC" – I would challenge anyone to find me a nicer, friendly and more genuine guy. During the drive out and up to the location "JC" shared his knowledge of the local history and culture of Costa Rica as well as the beautiful nature that surrounded us.

An amazing trip in the depths of the Costa Rican rain forest! - A great experience, not only enjoying the rafting but also travelling into the less populated areas of Costa Rica seeing some stunning scenery. The guides were extremely knowledgable and full of enthusiasm offering information about the history of Costa Rica as well as the local wildlife in the area. As a beginner, the rafting was an amazing experience. The water was a little bit low as it was getting towards the end of the dry season, having said that some of us still managed to get thrown out of the boat! All part of the experience I guess. Although the majority of guests didn’t fall out of their boats, I would say you need to be confident around water. Be prepared for a long drive on bumpy roads to get to the location (an hour and a half) but well worth it in the end. If you are looking for an alternative to the various boat trips and local walks in the area this is a more adventurous interactive experience which as an outdoor type I would truly recommend!

Beautiful and fun day in the river, you can expect expect swimming. - Very fun, and a nice day out in beautiful nature. We took the easier rafting because of the dry season, not rough, but still fun and great. The trip down was long which was great and we saw lots of animals

What a blast. We went... - What a blast. We went during dry season so there were many portions that had shallow water. Regardless we felt safe and gad a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Our guide Ulises was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the river, geology, flora & fauna which added a very nice touch! The lunch provided was delicious.
