Playa Manuel Antonio - Once you are picked up at your hotel the drive is about 25 minutes to the starting point. On the way there, we drive through a couple of local Costa Rican towns. It is an informative ride as our guides tell you about the Costa Rican lifestyle and answer any of your questions.

It is an informative ride as our guides tell you about the Costa Rican lifestyle and answer any of your questions.
Once we get to our destination, you are fitted with the rafting gear and given a safety briefing. The ride down the river is about 1 1/2 hours though lush jungle and rain forest. The rapids are class 3 and 3+. Towards the end we float through a palm plantation before getting to the take out. Here you will be served a delicious snack of pineapple, fruit juice, water and cookies. The drive back to your hotel is only about 20 minutes.

Our rafting tour is a secure adventure suitable for individuals desirous of exploring a tropical river located not too far away. The departure point is just a 25-minute drive from Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The Naranjo River tours provide an excellent opportunity for families to engage in a thrilling rafting journey in the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica.
- What to bring: extra bottled water, sun block, water shoes or sneakers (Keens or Tevas work great, no flip flops), sun glasses and straps, swim suit, towel, change of clothes, a little money just in case, camera
- A minimum of 3 people per booking for the morning 7:30 am tour is required
- A minimum of 4 people per booking for the afternoon 12 pm tour is required
- A maximum of 15 people per booking
- Largest life jacket fits a size 52” chest
- Minimum age is 10 years

Raft with them- they are the best!! - We had an amazing experience with Mel and his team!! They were both kind and very professional and really made us feel safe on the river so we could fully enjoy the experience and the beauty of this amazing place. I can’t recommend this enough - It was a highlight of our trip!!

Lower Naranjo Trip - My wife, our young daughter (a total thrill seeker!), and I had the most incredible experience rafting the Lower Naranjo River at the end of January. From start to finish, the trip exceeded every expectation we had.
Our guide, Damian, was outstanding, professional, calm, knowledgeable, and fantastic with our daughter. She had been looking forward to this adventure for weeks, and Damian made sure she felt confident, safe, and fully included the entire time. The rapids were exciting, dynamic, and incredibly fun, while still feeling well-managed and safe thanks to the crew’s expertise.
The equipment provided was top-notch and first class, which added a lot to our comfort and confidence on the river. You can really tell this operation takes safety and quality seriously.
What truly set the experience apart was the ending. After the trip, we were treated to fresh cookies, pineapple, and homemade fresh fruit juice prepared by Mel, the driver’s mom, a personal and heartfelt touch that made the day even more special. Sitting together afterward, sharing snacks and talking about our favorite rapids and the overall adventure, was the perfect way to wrap up an already unforgettable experience.
This was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip, and an adventure our family will be talking about for a long time. If you’re looking for an exciting, well-run rafting experience that’s also welcoming for families, this is it. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Unbelievable experience with kids! - We had an incredible white water rafting experience with our 5-year-old daughter and my husband, and we couldn’t be happier. The team truly went above and beyond to make sure our child felt safe, comfortable, and had an amazing time the entire trip. As parents, that level of care meant everything to us.
Damien was super polite, social, and great with our daughter—he made the experience fun and engaging for her. Mel was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional from start to finish. The service and pickup were seamless, and everything was handled with such professionalism.
Overall, an all-around amazing experience. We felt well taken care of and had so much fun as a family. Highly recommend to anyone, especially families with young kids!

Exciting and beauitful adventure - What an exhilarating morning! Mel and Reuben were our guides. To reach the water, we walked down a very steep, muddy, slippery path. That took about 10 minutes. I felt triumphant once I made it. Then we jumped off a tall rock into the water and waded for a bit. There were just 2 rafts. My husband and I in one, my two adult kids in the other. There wasn't anyone else on the water. It was beautiful. The rapids were amazing. The IVs were scary but we felt safe. The guides are very experienced. There were a lot of rapids too. There is another guided raft for safety and to take photos that we were glad we purchased. It was an amazing adventure. Mel shared a lot about the area. This is our 3rd white water rafting trip and it was the best by far.

Rafting with Damian, Mel and team - The whole team of Damien, Mel, Josh and Ronnie were fantastic in making us feel comfortable and giving us a thorough safety and prep session.

White Water Rafting at it's Finest! - I've been white water rafting several times in the U.S. now and I have to say this experience was by far the best. I was with a group of 7 and the day started with us getting picked up from our AirBnB which was a convenient offering.
From there we drove to pick up the gear and down to the river. Our guides Wesley, Jon, and Joshua were amazing. They were funny and kept the energy up. While on the river they shared details about the local flora and fauna to balance out the extreme. Following the ride they provided a delicious snack of fresh pineapple and fresh squeezed juice. On our drive back we had our first monkey sightings which we were desperate to see and instead of just driving on our drivers stopped to show us them.
That level of service is what separates good businesses from great ones and it's all a thanks to those three!

Best Rafting Tour in CR - This was the best rafting tour I have ever done. From start to finish everything was superb. Our captain Melvin was top notch. He was very professional, confident, funny, and we felt super comfortable in his care. The rápids and river was epic, we went through some amazing spots and did not want to get out of the boat when we reached our destinación. Snacks were provided at the end of our journey, which finished things off perfectly. We will book another tour to visit the top part of the river next season. Thanks again for such an incredible and memorable time.

Kids and Adults all had so much fun! - Went as a family with a 10yo and 13yo. All of us had a lot of fun! It was thrilling and we couldn't get enough of it. We were beginners but we felt well taken care of and we were never felt frightened nor unsafe. Mel was a good guide too - he gave us useful info about Costa Rica and the local areas while driving us to the venue and back.
