Our family adventure began with a sense of anticipation as we arrived at Quinta Grande, ready to embark on the Unique Faja Trip. The cable car ride was a thrilling start, offering breathtaking views of the cliffs and the vast ocean below. As we descended, the landscape transformed, revealing the lush greenery of Fajã dos Padres. The kids were captivated by the ride, their eyes wide with wonder as the cable car glided smoothly down the cliffside.

Upon reaching the bottom, we were greeted by our guide, Fatima, whose warmth and knowledge set the tone for the day. Her stories of the Jesuits who once owned this land and the history of Madeira’s colonization were fascinating. She had a knack for engaging both adults and children, making the historical narratives come alive. The temperature was noticeably warmer at the base, a welcome change as we began our exploration of the ancient pathways.

The kids were thrilled to jump from the bridge into the clear, cool sea, while we relaxed on the pebble beach, soaking in the sun.
