The adventure begins with an amazing 3-minute cable car ride that comfortably transports guests from Quinta Grande to Fajã dos Padres, along a towering cliff over 300 meters high. The meeting point is at the bottom.
Guests will stroll along ancient paths that wind through orchards of subtropical fruit trees.
During the tour, visitors will learn about the history of this place, which has been inhabited since the early colonization of Madeira Island. They will discover the techniques used for cultivating various subtropical fruits, some of which are quite exotic. The history of Madeira’s vine and wine, and the reasons for its cultivation over the centuries in this remote yet fertile land, always captivates visitors.
