Great first snorkling experience - Jose is a fantastic guide. Very informative and friendly. He led us and gave good advice. He remained with us the whole time and helped when we needed help. This was our first time snorkling and Jose made the experience very comfortable. 100% tecommended.

Great excursion - Really enjoyed Chankanaab. It was not at all crowded, the gardens and Mayan replicas were neat and the snorkeling was great! The staff were all really friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. I would highly recommend this excursion!

Recommended - I loved this experience! There were just another family where we were. Very relaxing! Loved scuba diving! My family enjoyed it ! Food was fantastic! The salsa ….. wheeww mucho caliente !

Laid back - Quiet and relaxing. Snorkeling was good. No beach. Authentic Mexican food and the drinks were good., Although very limited and small were the two drinks provided

What a disappointment - I wouldn't waste my money going here. They do have a nice beach but you can find that many other places. The food was super basic but over priced and the drinks were watered down.

Has gone downhill - Was advertised as having a buffet lunch, it was in fact a sit down with very small portion of bland food (we were left hungry afterwards). Also advertised as coming with two free drinks each, which we ordered (and confirmed which drinks were included free). After paying and leaving, we were approached nearby by a restaurant staff member who tried to get us to pay for the drinks, claiming he had accidentally served us drinks that were not included and that if we didn’t give him the money it would come out of his pay check. It was clearly a scam, we had confirmed that the drinks we ordered were included free. We have been to chankanaab in the past and had a great time, this time however left much to be desired. Will not be returning and wouldn’t recommends to anyone.

Please avoid at all costs. - This was the worst excursion. We did the manatee encounter where we were supposed to be able to feed them. While standing in line before getting in, a gentleman asked if we wanted to buy our picture with them for $50. We told them that we would wait to see how the photo came out (like every other animal encounter we have done we decide to buy after seeing them). We get in the water for no more than 5 minutes, pet them a couple times and then get out. We didn’t get to feed them and didn’t have our pictures taken with them. This was not as advertised and would strongly discourage anyone from doing this. The food was also terrible. The “queso” tasted like a can of cheez whiz was mixed into a gallon of water. The meat was flavorless and the chips were more than stale. The beach area was kept clean and there were people cleaning as raking while we were there, including the seaweed, but they then dump all the dead seaweed by the animal encounters and one of the restaurants so all you smell is the rotting seaweed. The only bright side was our tour guide Pepe.

Didn't get to use it was... - Didn't get to use it was lied to and treated badly by company got scammed and they refused my refund just strait up they never will I use viator !! Scamm

Someone needs to fix the problem! - Website was hard to navigate. It never applied the discount for booking online. Tried numerous times. Had Lunch and margs elsewhere!
