Great way to spend the day in Costa Maya - The tour exceeded expectations. It was well organized, and the van was comfortable for the trip to the ruins and lagoon, which took about an hour each way. Plenty of water was provided while touring the ruins -- make sure you pick up some fresh mango or pineapple on the way out! The small resort area at the lagoon was perfect, with enough chairs, kayaks, bathrooms and a nice covered area for lunch. Tacos/fajitas were freshly made to order and local drinks and two alcoholic beverages were included. Swimming and kayaking in the lagoon was nice -- just need to be careful getting in and out due to algae on the ladder and near the shore. We had at least an hour at the ruins and 1.5 hours at the lagoon and still had 1.5 hours back at the port area.

So fun! - This was amazing! The bus was nice and air conditioned. The ride was about an hour to get there but it felt way shorter. The seats were nice and soft as well. Our tour guide Yoshi was very informative and I learned so much new knowledge. She kept the info short and entertaining. The ruins were beautiful, we got to take so many good pictures and we could even climb some of the stairs. We also saw 3 monkeys and they are so cute and love the people. We got really close to them actually. After that we went to the lagoon and the water was so warm. We jumped off the dock a few times then laid out in the sun. We also we provided these delish gluten free tacos. They are so connected to the heritage. We also were provided with tea drinks or a Rick milk drink and they were so refreshing and delicious. This was an amazing lil experience. Time flew by so fact and I would 100% do it again!!!

Well run excursion - Mayan Ruins are wonderful! - This company puts on a very well organized excursion. Such a pleasure. Our guide, Yoshi was charming. She explained everything very clearly, she had great info at the ruins, and she was very attentive to the group. The company's van was very nice - air conditioned, comfortable. This is important because the ruins are about an hours ride from the cruise port. Pay attention closely to the directions to get to the meeting spot. It is not hard - just pay attention. The lagoon stop was lovely. Lunch of tacos and local drinks included. Then water activities if you want. The day of our visit was very windy - so we choose to hang out on shore and enjoy a few drinks. Take this excursion- you will not regret it. There is a good bit of walking. But a member of our small group was just weeks post back surgery and managed.

Great Tour Experience in Costa Maya - I recently took a tour in Costa Maya, and it was absolutely fantastic! Finding the meeting point right after our cruise ship docked was a breeze. The van was equipped with excellent air conditioning and had incredibly comfortable chairs, making the ride very pleasant. Our tour guide was local and incredibly knowledgeable, effortlessly switching between English and Spanish. I loved how he shared so many interesting insights about the area without overwhelming us with too much walking. We had plenty of time to fully enjoy each location we visited. The highlight was definitely Bacalar—it felt like a private tour since this company had exclusivity at the site. It truly made the experience special. And I can't forget to mention the tacos for lunch—absolutely delicious and prepared by some wonderful ladies. This tour exceeded all my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Maya in a Cruise.

Experience local Mayan culture - We enjoyed this tour during our cruise ship’s stop at Costa Maya. Our guide Joel was very friendly and informative. He shared about his Mayan heritage and from the perspective of someone who has lived in the area for his entire life. The lunch was prepared by women from a nearby Mayan village. The lagoon was lovely. This is a great choice if you want to skip the typical large group ship excursion and have a more personal cultural experience.

Mayan ruins very interesting - delicious lunch. - Because of the distance between attractions, there is considerable travel in this excursion. But each of our guides was so nice and extremely knowledgeable. The Mayan ruins are quite something to see. Lunch and drinks - delicious!

Great Guide but Bad Infrastructure - The tour guide and the food at the lagoon were great. But other than that this tour is very overpriced. The bus is old and the air conditioning is not up to par at all -- it is quite uncomfortable and you spend nearly 3 hours on it. The ruins were interesting, but the lagoon is not nice. No beach, no sand. Just incredibly rocky and there is no safe way for older people to get in or out of the water. No towels provided, the water are the mini Costco bottles and they are stingy with those, and the loungers at the lagoon are sagged and appear dirty. For 120pp definitely expected alot more.

Wasted time and money. - We got off to a bad start from the start. We arrived at the meeting point with a tour reserved for the 29th of April, in the tickets appears that date, but when we arrived they had the reservation for the 15th of May. In the end they changed it, put some bracelets on us and left us waiting on a bench. Within half an hour we are put in a van with other groups, on our tour we were 2 people plus 2 others. After half an hour of driving we are put in another van to take us to the ruins to take the guided tour, by the way, hired in Spanish and was in English. Surprise! We reached the middle of the tour and missed almost every explanation. Point to David, the guide, who was concerned when we arrived and devoted some more time to us as much as possible. Once the tour ended we had to wait for a van to go to Bacalar. They had us waiting 50 minutes without being able to do anything! A disgrace! When the van finally arrived we were told that we were taking 25 minutes to Bacalar and again surprise! 1.10 hours of driving. Already in Bacalar we were well served but we had much less time than bought on the tour and we could only take a quick swim, eat a few tacos and 15 minutes of kayaking. After finishing we were given another trip until the cruise of 1.30 hours. In short. We paid for a tour we missed more than half of and 3/4 were to be expected and driving.
