Wonderful Chocolate experience - My wife is in a wheelchair so options on Caribbean islands tend to be awkward at best. Also, her family goes back almost two centuries as “Chocolatiers” from Hungary to Germany and later the USA, so this was at the top of her list. Patricia was our guide and very enjoyable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We truly enjoyed this adventure and learned a lot about chocolate, and especially the history before it made its way to Europe.

Worth a visit! - Such a great place to visit! Got to watch a chocolate making demonstration and tasted a sample. We bought some delicious milk chocolate from the gift shop and a chocolate colada from the bar. Be sure to check out the beautiful birds also : )

Well worth it! - We came here as part of a cruise, but didn’t book the workshop through a tour company. We were lucky enough to get there just before another tour group arrived and they slotted us in before the hordes descended 😉. Angel took us on our own private tour and it was lovely! We asked questions about the bees and found out a lot about all things Maya and the magic of Mexico’s stingless bees, their honey and chocolate(!) It was well worth the trip and we got to make our own chocolate the old way. We had a great time. Would highly recommend! With or without 20 or so of your closest travel companions ;)
