- Quitsato Sundial - The first stop will be at Quitsato’s Sundial to explore the equator line and its global impact. There is also a great opportunity to view Cayambe Mountain, the third highest snow-capped volcano in the country (18,996 ft).
- Tabacundo - Before heading to Otavalo, a visit to a beautiful local rose farm is planned to learn about the process of growing, harvesting, and exporting roses, which is the fifth largest contributor to the Ecuadorian economy.
- Otavalo Market - The journey continues to the Otavalo market or “Plaza de Ponchos,” which is filled with indigenous handicrafts.
- Cotacachi - After lunch, a visit to the Cotacachi village is scheduled. Known as the “music capital of Ecuador,” it is rich in the production of fine leather goods, displayed and sold in small shops in the city center.
