Excellent tour and fantastic guide - This was a wonderful tour to see different parts of the city. Our tour guide Patricio was excellent. He took us first to a fruit and vegetable market, where we sampled unusual fruits. We then took the cable car to an elevation of 13,000 feet and had an incredible view of the city. I wanted to try the "Swing of the Clouds," so we walked along a path to get there. We had to go slowly because of the elevation, but Patricio was very patient and led us along the path. The swings were so awesome! I loved swinging out with a complete view of the city. On the way down, we stopped and took our picture with llamas, also very fun. Patricio helped me on the steep parts of the path and was so kind and patient. He also took several great pictures of us. From the cable car, we went to the Mitad del Mundo. There are two locations, one which is the real middle of the world at the Intinan Equator Museum and the other is a monument and a park called La Mitad del Mundo about five minutes from the museum. Patricio accommodated my request to go to both locations. I preferred the monument because it was easier to explore on our own, and there was more to see. At the Intinan Museum, we were required to join a group tour of the museum. We did not have time to go to the city center which the tour usually includes because we had chosen to spend extra time at these sites outside the city. We also had an excellent lunch at a nearby restaurant called Santan Brewing. They had great local food. I really believe getting a private guide is the best way to explore a city. Patricio went at our pace and allowed us to change the schedule based on what we wanted to see. He explained everything about the city and was the perfect guide. I highly recommend this tour.

A great day in Quito! - Wow! We had the absolute pleasure of spending the entire day with Pato! We decided to fly into Quito a day early before our tour to the Galapagos and we were looking for something to do. So we booked this tour. And I’m so glad we did! Pato was Great! We were able to experience many aspects of HIS city. I emphasize HIS because Pato was so proud and knowledgeable about the city where he lives and grew up. I feel like we got the ultimate insider tour of Quito. As others have said, he is an absolute encyclopedia of knowledge about Quito and Ecuador in general, as well as the surrounding countries. His passion for his country is obvious, and he was very proud to share it with others. This tour was the perfect blend of new and old, city and nature, and adventure and relaxation. We visited many of the common tourist sites, but also interacted with locals merchants and restaurant owners. We kept the day off with dinner with Pato at one of his favorite restaurants and enjoying Ecuadorian wine! What a great day! I recommend this tour, and especially Pato as the guide, highly!

Our kids (9 and 7) had the best time as well. We really enjoyed all of our stops in Quito and look forward to visiting again one day.

Fantastic trek on Rucu Pichincha with a school Exped group. Amazing guide ! Highly recommend! - Patricio is a fantastic local guide with excellent knowledge on local flora and fauna, geology and the natural environments in the Andes as well as local culture, traditions and history. What more could you ask for?! He guided us, a teenage school group on expedition on Rucu Pichincha. We had a great time. It is a magical landscape. His company ‘Ecuador a Colour’ will be guiding us in Quilitoa for a 5 day trek, we can’t wait. Thanks Patricio for a great experience xx

Excellent - Marzial and Edward were amazing can’t thank him enough about all the sites he showed me. Marzial was also very knowledgeable and knew a lot of history of Ecuador, another good thing is that he answers any questions that you may have and takes his time with you and helps with pictures,
