The perfect way to get the gist of Quito - If you're in Quito for just 24 hours like we were, make this tour #1 on your itinerary! What a perfect way to get a feel for the city. We learned so much, but in an engaging way, so even my husband (who is not into these cultural/historical tours as much as I am) was having a blast. Daniel had such a personality, and was a joy to spend time with! He even practiced Spanish and Quichua with us! There were many stops along the way, including the Basilica, a candy stand, a chocolate shop, an empanada shop, a restaurant that served amazing canelazo, and more. My husband and I made a game of writing down every interesting fact that we learned on the tour, and we came up with 29 different things! My only advice - I didn't realize that this tour wouldn't include going IN to the Basilica. If that's something on your bucket list, plan to go on your own before or after.

Beautiful buildings and delicious tastes - We had the most fun time with Daniel. He took us to some beautiful places and explained the history behind each one. He shared some fun words to say in native tongue in Ecuador. We got to sample different foods, from empenadas to ice cream to delicious chocolates! 100% recommend Daniel’s tour!!! Pai, Daniel!!

First day in Quito with Daniel. - Daniel is a friendly and kind tour guide who listens and communicates very well. We visited some of the iconic spots in the Wuito old town and I tasted a variety of traditional favorites. I enjoyed his company and his personal advice and I recommend this tour very highly.

Old Town Quito Eats! - We were a couple on a private city tour. Daniel was punctual and personable. The tour was a mix of Ecuadorian history and culture. Daniel taught us several words in the indigenous language. The tour included multiple stops for tastings of local foods from candies, empanadas, Nacional libation to ice cream. More food than we expected. The highlight for us was the ‘Procesos del Cacao’ demonstration and tasting at Yumbos! Daniel made several recommendations for local dishes to try during our stay.
