- Quito - Guests will be collected from their hotel and transported to the Basilica Church, marking the start of our tour.
- Basílica del Voto Nacional - The guide will provide an overview from outside the church, and guests may choose to enter the towers. The Basilica of the National Vow is a neo-Gothic religious structure in Quito’s historic center. It was once considered the largest neo-Gothic temple in the Americas and the tallest religious temple in Latin America until 2017. It is situated in the Santa Prisca area, at the intersection of Carchi and Venezuela streets, adjacent to the Oblate fathers’ convent.
- Quito - Guests will be transported from the Basilica Church to Independence Square.
- Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande) - Plaza Grande is the capital’s main square, serving as the political and historical hub of Ecuador and the symbolic residence of the Ecuadorian president. It is the city’s altitude reference point, located at 2818 meters above sea level. Its central feature is the Independence Monument, honoring the independence heroes of August 10, 1809, a date celebrated as the First Cry of Spanish-American Independence.
- Fundacion Iglesia de la Compania - The guide will provide an overview from outside the church, and guests may enter to receive further details from a local guide. The Company is a major tourist attraction and a priceless artistic and economic heritage for the country, renowned for its rich architecture and interior adorned with gold leaf.
- Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco - The tour includes a visit to the Plaza de San Francisco, the largest square in Quito’s historic center, dominated by the impressive façade of the Church and Convent of San Francisco. This area has been a significant urban setting since colonial times, with its central fountain supplying water to residents for centuries.
- Quito - The guide will suggest a traditional restaurant in Quito’s Historic Center for lunch. (NOT INCLUDED).
- Quito - Guests will be transported from Quito’s Historic Center to Panecillo.
- La Virgen del Panecillo - The tour will visit Panecillo, a natural elevation of 3,000 meters above sea level. Its location makes it the city’s most important natural viewpoint, offering views of the Ecuadorian capital’s urban layout, from the historic center to the northern and southern ends. The Panecillo is topped by a giant aluminum sculpture of the “Virgin of Quito,” created by Spanish artist Agustín de la Herrán Matorras, based on a work by Bernardo de Legarda, a prominent figure of the Quito School.
- Quito - Guests will be transported from Panecillo to the Intiñan Museum, located at the equator.
- Intiñan Equator Museum - The Intiñan Site Museum offers an interactive tour, where visitors can learn about the history of ancestral peoples and the sun’s effects in the solar cylinder. Experience the past through ancient huts, explore and understand Earth’s physical phenomena with educational examples, observe the sun’s path (Intiñan) in the Acoratene, and enjoy a natural and privileged environment.
- Quito - Guests will be transported from the Intiñan Museum back to their hotel, concluding our services.

Wonder day in Quito with Frank - Friendly, professional and pasionate guide - Frank was recommended
to us as a professional guide who could show us around Quito. We contacted him at short notice and he agreed to take us out the following day. He did not disappoint as we spent a wonderful day with him!
Frank is a professional guide, who is welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. His command of English put me to shame! He was also a good/safe driver and had a nice/large/clean vehicle.
Frank showed us around the sites of Quito, stopping to explain the history, which made it so much more meaningful. We visited some wonderful churches, historical statues and sites. When it started to rain, he knew where to purchase waterproof ponchos to keep us dry, and where we could shelter and rest until the rain stopped.
Frank is professional, pleasant,
relaxed, and was happy to answer our questions about Quito, and life in Ecuador. He even organised our return transfer to the airport the following day.
We spend a wonderful day/evening with Frank, and I could not recommended him highly enough!

Middle of the world Tour - Our experience started with airport transfers from Quito airport to The JW Marriott in Quito. Pleasant and lots of information about the city and surrounding area along the way with Wilson. Then next day Franklin shared his passion for Quito with us. His knowledge and passion showed through at each new site and all along the way. From the center of the World, we felt immersed into the history that brought Quito to where it is today. Thank you Franklin for sharing your love of Quito and it’s history.

Authentic, cultural, passionate travel in Ecuador with Four Worlds. - We did the 2 day Otovalo experience with an overnight stay in a beautiful historic Hacienda Pinsaqui.
Franklin was an amazing guide. He was prompt, informative, knowledgeable and the activities planned were thoughtful and we got to experience some of the real Ecuador.
Even when the weather changed and we couldn’t do one of the planned trips, Franklin detoured and we visited the ancient Pyramids at Cochasqui. An amazing historic site.
So, If you want authentic, passionate travel in Ecuador then Four Worlds is the way to go.

Amazing Quito and Middle of the World Tour with Franklin - highly recommend! - We spent a day in Quito before a trip to Galapagos, and used Franklin and Four Winds as our airport transportation and tour guide in Quito. We had a phenomenal and interesting day with him. Franklin greeted us with a smile, his English is excellent, and he was so friendly and shared so much about his beautiful country with us. We spent a day in Quito at Mitad del Mundo (equator) and Old Town Quito, a UNESCO world heritage site. We loved every minute of our tour, ate a delicious lunch that Frank arranged for us, and learned so much. We would definitely book with Four Winds anytime we visit Ecuador! Thanks, Franklin!
