Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van (B/L/D)
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Begin the day with a delightful local breakfast and prepare all essentials for the tour. The journey starts with a ride through Bac Sum Pass, leading to the first viewpoint, Heaven’s Gate. Situated at an elevation of 1,500m, it provides a stunning view of the twin mountains of Quan Ba.
Continuing through Yen Minh, the route passes through pine forests before a lunch break and rest in Yen Minh town. Post-lunch, the ride proceeds to Tham Ma slope, a picturesque road winding up the mountain with a viewpoint overlooking the valley.
The next stop is the Hmong King’s Palace, a century-old palace once used by the Hmong King. Arrival in Dong Van town leads directly to the homestay for a shower, change, and relaxation before dinner.
Dinh Vua Meo - The Hmong King Palace, also known as Vuong Chinh Sinh Palace, is a historical site nestled in the scenic Sa Phin Valley. With over a century of history, it was the power center for two Hmong rulers. As a favored stop on the Ha Giang Loop, visitors can delve into the rich heritage and architecture of this intriguing palace.
Dong Van - Situated in Ha Giang province, Dong Van offers a mix of cultural experiences and natural splendor. Its lively local ethnic market, held every Sunday, showcases vibrant traditions and customs. Explore the cozy Old Quarter, filled with charming buildings, and it marks the beginning of the renowned Ma Pi Leng Pass. As a popular overnight stop on the Ha Giang Loop, Dong Van is a must-see destination.
Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Du Gia (B/L/D)
Ma Pi Leng Pass - Start the morning with breakfast at the homestay. Following breakfast, traverse the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass, the highlight of the tour and one of Vietnam’s finest, at an altitude of 2,000m.
There are two options next: a short trek to the Skywalk for the best view of the pass or a boat ride down the river with an opportunity for a swim. Lunch will be in Meo Vac, followed by a rest period.
After lunch, the journey continues to Ha Giang, enjoying the views from the Lung Ho valley. Arrival in Ha Giang is around 6pm, followed by dinner at a local restaurant and a night bus back to Hanoi.
Meo Vac - Located in Ha Giang, Meo Vac is a key stop on the famous Ha Giang Loop. The town maintains a peaceful ambiance but comes alive every Sunday with Ha Giang’s largest minority market. Additionally, the area around Meo Vac offers numerous attractions, showcasing stunning natural beauty and the unique cultures of various ethnic minorities.
Du Gia - Du Gia is a tranquil, lesser-known village in Ha Giang. It is primarily visited by travelers completing the Ha Giang loop in three days or more. The village is renowned for its serene and untouched beauty, with majestic mountains and rice paddies surrounding it. Moreover, the local residents are exceptionally welcoming and friendly.
Du Gia – Lung Tam – Ha Giang (B/L)
Lung Tam Village - Situated in Ha Giang province, Lung Tam Linen Weaving Village is more than just a destination; it’s an experience. Home to the Hmong community, this charming village is a living testament to the enduring art of linen weaving and the preservation of ancient customs.
A Boong Waterfall - Off the beaten path, A Boong Waterfall offers a peaceful retreat. To reach it from Meo Vac, head toward Mau Due and continue towards Du Gia. Before reaching Du Gia, turn off at Lung Ho, taking the westward road back toward Ha Giang City. Traveling along this scenic route for about two hours will eventually lead to the waterfall.
