Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Situated at an elevation of 1,500 meters above sea level, Quan Ba Heaven Gate is often shrouded in clouds and mist. Ascend an additional hundred steps to reach the gate and be rewarded with breathtaking views of Dong Van Global Geo-Park, expansive rice terrace valleys, Tam Son town, and numerous nearby villages on clear days.

Quan Ba - The standout feature here is the Quan Ba Twin Mountains, a natural marvel sculpted by Mother Nature. Nestled among the mountains and rice terraces, these twin peaks resemble the breasts of a fairy, as told in local folklore.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - Though not lengthy, Ma Pi Leng Pass is the most treacherous in the northern border mountain region. At the summit of Ma Pi Leng mountain lies the “happiness” road, marked by a stone stele commemorating its construction. This pass is a unique regional heritage site known for its landscape and geomorphology. The peak offers one of Vietnam’s most stunning panoramic views, and the Nho Que River valley is a rare tectonic formation. The scenery here is both majestic and untamed.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - If time permits, we can hike the Skypath, a 4KM trail with a 500m elevation gain along a cliffside, taking about 2 hours. Proper footwear is essential (hiking boots or durable shoes). The Sky Path trail, partially paved, runs along Ma Pi Leng mountain, offering views of the pass. After passing through trees and small farms, hikers will reach a cliffside path leading to a gazebo with panoramic views of the pass and river below. Enjoy the sounds of goat bells and the wind while observing the colorful limestone karsts and wind-eroded rock formations.

Dong Van - H’Mong King Palace - Sung La - Lung Tam - Nam Dam

Dinh Vua Meo - Visit the palace of the H’mong king, a high-ranking royal family during French colonial times. This palace, a blend of European and Chinese architectural styles, fascinates architecture enthusiasts. Construction began in 1920 and took eight years. The building’s design, inspired by ancient Chinese architecture (Man Thanh dynasty), is highly artistic. It served as both a residence and a fortress in the rocky highlands. In the early 19th century, the Vuong family ruled the region, with Vuong Duc Chinh declaring himself the “king of the H’Mong.” To solidify his power, he built this palace-fortress. The charismatic king gained attention by allying with Ho Chi Minh and other Meo residents to fight for national freedom.

Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village - Sung La. Due to its remote location, far from modern city life, Sung La was chosen as the setting for the award-winning film Pao’s Story. Since then, it has become a popular destination for travelers seeking a unique experience and movie enthusiasts.

Quan Ba - We will also visit a special village. Lung Tam Village draws many visitors with its stunning landscape, tranquility, and the colorful attire of H’Mong women. Remarkably, these women do not need shawls or jackets in harsh weather, as their linen clothing keeps them warm in the cold mountainous climate. Linen acts like an air conditioner, cooling in summer and warming in winter.

Nam Dam - Lung Khuy Cave - Thon Tha village - END TOUR

Lung Khuy Cave - Explore Lung Khuy Cave, one of the newest caves discovered in Ha Giang in 2015 and opened to visitors in January 2016. The cave features a spectacular view with thousands of sparkling stalagmites and stalactites. After a short 2km walk, visitors can reach the cave, enjoying the enchanting landscapes along the way. Your tour guide will then take you back to Thon Tha to collect your luggage.
