Horror Highway (The Street of Horror) is the unofficial name for a 9 km highway in Quang Tri province. On May 1, 1972, thousands of locals, including the elderly, women, children, and numerous soldiers, were tragically killed by artillery and infantry weapons during hours of shooting.
- Nhà thờ Long Hưng (Long Hung Church - War Damaged Historic Relic) - Long Hung Church is the Catholic church of the Hung Long villagers. The church covers a total area of 1220m2, featuring an octagonal bell tower at the front with a cross above, flanked by a wide chapel and corridor. The church collapsed due to bombing during the war to protect Quang Tri Citadel.
- Hiền Lương Bridge - Hien Luong Bridge is linked with the cluster of historical relics around the Ben Hai riverbank. These sites are historical witnesses to the division of the country during the prolonged war. The entire nation of Vietnam was involved in the war against the US in 1954.
- Vinh Moc Tunnels - The final highlight of the Hue DMZ day tour is the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Among the revolutionary bases in the “land of fire” in Quang Tri province, the Vinh Moc tunnel system symbolizes the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people. In 1965, Vinh Moc village was completely destroyed by US air force and artillery, leading to the creation of these tunnels as an underground village for the villagers.
At the end of the tour, the professional driver will return guests to Hue city, concluding the Hue to DMZ Tour with a private car transfer. Wishing everyone a wonderful trip with us!
