- Jodhpur District - This is a unique chance to meet and photograph the gypsy community in the desert. Additionally, participants can learn gypsy dance, music, and culinary recipes while experiencing the pastoral eco-lifestyle and distinctive farming systems, with a focus on animal husbandry.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
- Pickup in Jodhpur and travel 70 km deep into the desert.
- Overnight stay with a farmer’s family in a homestay surrounded by isolated desert and sand dunes.
Day 2:
- Cultural Immersion & Desert Exploration
- Early morning sunrise viewing in the desert.
- Embark on a four-wheel jeep tour to explore nearby desert villages.
- Engage with local communities, including gypsies, tribal, and pastoral people.
- Experience the unique eco-lifestyle of desert life: livestock farming, animal husbandry, and sustainable living practices.
- Participate in a Gypsy Dance Workshop with a UNESCO-recognized performer.
- Evening camel safari and sunset with tea/coffee.
- Dinner and campfire.

Beautiful homestay with amazing food and knowledge - I can only repeat my appreciation for Nadya and Yusuf. They are amazing hosts. They are kind, knowledgeable and skilled in making their guests comfortable and feel at home. If you want, Nadya will prepare amazing food for you and she will most defiantly go the extra mile to include personal wishes. The rooms are specious, clean and comfortable and whatever question you have, it will be answered.
Yusuf took us on a two day trip and shared his knowledge with us, while making sure to tailor the tour to our interests.
At this point I will start to repeat my appreciation so there is only one thing left to say: thank you Nadya and thank you Yusuf for making our firsts days in Rajasthan so special! I hope to see you soon!

Most insightful tour you can find from the most knowledgeable guide! - Yusuf gave us a two day tour through jaipur, offering us insightful details about the cities history, politics and inhabitants. Through is great connections to people all over jaipur, we furthermore received insights into traditional paper making and woodwork. All things we could have never experienced on our own. He created a wonderful tour that was specifically tailored to our personal interests. He showed us traditional Indian sweets and helped us get along the market area. Last but not least, he was very pleasant to be around as he is the most friendly man with great humour and endless fascinating stories to tell. 1000% recommend!!

A Very Special Sufi Tour - I stayed with Yusuf and Nadya as a solo traveller for 3 wonderful weeks.. When I arrived I informed them that I wished to know more of Sufism and was thrilled to discover my hosts' personal connection and extensive knowledge. I went on the Sufi Tour with them both. Yusuf personally arranged for me to visit a Sufi scholar in Ajmer, which was a very special experience. I was grateful that this was possible, especially as the gentleman travels internationally. The scholar took us all to the Shrine and shared his knowledge with us, after which we were honoured to share lunch in his library with a couple of his colleagues and another visitor from Canada. Throughout the Tour Yusuf shared his own knowledge and made sure all my needs were met. I would recommend this tour to visitors as Yusuf is extremely knowledable and is an attentive and gracious host. Even if not having the delightful experience of staying at Nadya's Homestay, do choose one or more of their very special and personalised tours, and you will absolutely not be disappointed.

Unique Rajasthan tour - Me and my partner went on 4 day tour around Rajasthan with Yusuf and his driver Babu. Yusuf was very obliging and happy to tailor the tour to our likes but also provided many suggestions based on his knowledge that all turned out to be amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour, it has really shaped our India trip as we feel we got to see the real India off the beaten track. It was nice to enjoy less touristy places and get to see real locals. We experienced things that without Yusuf we thought would not be possible. Yusuf was always looking out for our comfort and nothing was too much trouble.
In particular we loved the eco home stay in the desert. Look it up and add it to your itinerary, you will not regret it. It was especially special to have Yusuf to show us unique cultural experiences in the area with the owner.
The tour was also a photographers dream, I am only amateur but you will be spoilt by sights.
On reflection we think this tour is 100% worth the money and would recommend to anyone.

Best experience of my life!! - I have no words to describe the experience Yusuf together, he created one of the most unforgettable memories that I will hold onto forever. We visited the Bhil tribe in the Jadhol mountains and got to meet the locals and observe their beautiful ancient Gavri rituals. We also toured the local neighborhood and got to meet different folk artist in the area. This was an adventure I will never forgot, Yusuf made it all possible. Don’t hesitate if you need a photography fixer - I requested Yusuf’s help to visit and photograph the gypsy community around Jodhpur. He arranged, transport, accommodation and local support to make it happen as expected. He assisted with the pre-photography interviews and the actual shoots. Yusuf’s is a kind and reliable man. Don’t hesitate to contact him if you need an experienced fixer.

Andrea from Italy - I went with Yusuf for a tour, one day we did a tour of the city lifestyle of Jaipur, of the monuments, and an other day we went to see a traditional indian carpet factory and the jaipur markets. But he offers you also personalized tours to you. Each question you have he will explain you. I can absolutely recommed.

No stone left unturned - This was an amazing tour! I went into it with an open mind and no expectations, and how the day unfolded had me spellbound by the beauty and history of jaipur. Yussuf is an anthropologist so I had a wealth of knowledge guiding me through this experience. The tour started in the morning and finished in the early evening which was perfect, I feel like not one stone was left unturned and it was the perfect day for me. Thank you so much yussuf for the wonderful day!
