- Mount Rushmore National Memorial - Carved in Stone… these grand figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are embraced by the stunning Black Hills. They narrate the story of the nation’s birth, growth, development, and preservation. From the history of the first inhabitants to the diversity of America today, Mount Rushmore connects visitors with the rich heritage shared by all.
- Mount Rushmore Profile View - This tour begins with a stop at one of the lesser-known views of Mt. Rushmore. To the west of the main entrances, a small parking lot offers a unique photo opportunity of George Washington’s Profile. Although not originally intended as an attraction, it has become one of his most famous images.
- Crazy Horse Memorial - The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument under construction on privately owned land in the Black Hills. It portrays the Oglala Lakota warrior Crazy Horse, riding a horse and pointing to his tribal land. This will be the largest man-made sculpture in the world. The museum houses over 14,000 Native American art pieces. In the summer, Lakota dancers perform on the patio, offering a wonderful historic and cultural experience.
- Hill City - In 1883, tin was discovered near Hill City, leading to a population boom. The Harney Peak Tin Mining, Milling, and Manufacturing Company established its headquarters on Main Street. Supported by English financiers, the company acquired 1,100 prospecting sites in the area. As mining expanded, the city became known for its lively atmosphere and was once described as “a town with a church on each end and a mile of Hell in between.” At one point, 15 saloons lined Main Street. Today, Hill City is renowned for its local artists, dinosaur museum, and wine tasting venues.
- Iron Mountain Road - Renowned for its one-way tunnels and pigtail bridges.
