Reliable and friendly - We arrived at Colombo airport late at night, so it was great to be met by our driver, Lal, soon afterwards. He made contact via WhatsApp beforehand, so it was good to stay in touch, especially after our flight was delayed. I was relieved that he waited for us. The service was so good, we booked Lal to drive us to Colombo Fort train station a couple of days later. He allowed plenty of time, so we didn't have to worry about missing the train that we had booked.

Flexible Transportation in SriLanka - My wife & I visited SriLanka for 10 days during the 2nd half of March, 2025. We made arrangements with Lal Travel for transportation to various sites around the island, including a couple of all-day driving excursions. We were very happy with the service we received! Our rides were easy to arrange & always arrived on-time, with clean, comfortable vehicles & professional, skillful drivers. The fees charged were very reasonable. We highly reccomend Lal Travel to any SriLanka tourist visitors who wish to travel independently!

Excellent Service – Highly Recommended! - I had an amazing experience with Southern Taxi Service during my trip in March 2025. From the moment we booked, everything was smooth and hassle-free. The driver was punctual, professional, and very friendly, making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and spacious, perfect for traveling with family. What stood out the most was the excellent customer service and the local knowledge shared by the driver, which made the trip even more memorable. I highly recommend Lal Travel and Tour for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable taxi service. 5 stars all the way! Will definitely use their service again.

Amazing experience with local driver/owner of the tour company - The taxi service owner Lal was came to picked us from the airport and started the journey to down south which was so nice because we landed 4am to the airport..he was waiting for us at the meeting point ( near post office at the corridor of the airport)when we came outside from the airport as we discussed before arrival.everything was perfect and convenient ,feel very safe and comfortable ,mr LAL did his best for us so would be happy to give 11 out of 10 for all together..hope to see you again on the way back to the airport..thank you for everything 🙏

Very easy - Needed a pickup from airport to Negombo. Easily booked, confirmed and on picked up at the right time. Drives calm and you can have a conversation if you like that.

Ride okay, nice driver, but would still prefer Uber again - I was asked to write a review, so I'm writing an honest review. We booked a driver in advance because we thought it would be more relaxing than Uber. 1. It said the driver would wait for us with a sign with my name on it. That wasn't the case. We had to find the meeting point outside the airport, which wasn't easy. Then we had to wait for the driver. Well organized is something else entirely. 2. Now the unpleasant part. We've already paid a higher price than Uber. I'm happy to tip, too. We arrived exhausted with our child after a 12-hour flight. We hadn't had time to change money yet. I tipped my last euros. The driver still seemed very dissatisfied and asked why we didn't have more money with us. 3. It was nice, but we wouldn't do it again. Next time we'll use Uber; it's cheaper and less stressful. The driver was actually nice and made an effort, so I'd like to be fair and give it a few more stars.
