- Chania Town - The next destination is Chania, the capital of the Chania prefecture. It is the second-largest on the island and ranks as the sixth-largest city in Greece, with a population of approximately 65,000. The Venetian walls and harbor, along with the narrow streets and historic buildings from the Venetian and Turkish eras, remain largely preserved, offering a glimpse into the past. The old harbor, where small fishing boats dock, is an ideal spot to enjoy a coffee and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Visitors can also explore the cross-shaped closed Marketplace and the leather Market Street.
- Lake Kournas - The final stop is Lake Kournas, the only natural freshwater lake near Chania, where lunch will be served. For those interested, there is an option to tour the lake by pedal boat, or simply stroll around and swim before heading back to Heraklion.
