• Mount Revelstoke National Park - The rafting journey runs alongside Mt. Revelstoke National Park, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks, ice fields, and glaciers.
• Apex Rafting Company - Gather in the lobby of the Regent Hotel in downtown Revelstoke. Start by completing waivers and getting any questions answered. Guides will then escort you to the gear room, which features several changing rooms.

Participants will receive a wetsuit, wetsuit socks, and a splash top. Fleece tops and neoprene gloves are available for cooler weather. Under the wetsuit, wear swimwear or light shorts and a t-shirt. Any tie-on or strap-on footwear is suitable. Choose from a wide selection of well-used running shoes or bring your own. The river gear is machine washed after each use to ensure it remains hygienic, fresh-smelling, and in excellent condition.

Once everyone is geared up, the rafting bus will pick you up at the hotel. Travel through the historic Rogers Pass, 35 km east of Revelstoke, to the river access point below Albert Canyon. During the ride, guides will provide a safety briefing and answer any questions.

Upon arrival, participants will receive helmets and life jackets. A photographer will accompany each trip, offering a great chance for group photos. Guides will prepare the boats and safety equipment and organize the groups. At the riverside, an instructional and safety briefing will prepare you for the adventure, and then it’s time to start rafting! Time on the river ranges from 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the river’s flow.

On the river, raft up to 25 km of Class II and III white water rapids. The boundaries of Mt. Revelstoke National Park create a stunning backdrop. The Illecillewaet River flows through parts of Canada’s only inland rainforest, with opportunities to spot river otters, bears, deer, moose, and various bird species. Toward the end of the trip, enjoy a more leisurely float and take in the beauty of the Selkirk Range.

The rafting bus will meet you at the Take Out. Enjoy a light snack of pastries and fruit while guides load the boats and collect life jackets and helmets. A short bus ride will return you to the Regent Hotel. Guides will then collect the remaining river gear.

You can choose to change back into street clothes or head straight to the hotel hot tub for a relaxing soak. Back at the rafting office, everyone can enjoy a slideshow of their river adventure. Souvenir T-shirts and a slideshow of the day’s photos are available for purchase.

Conveniently located in the hotel is the River City Pub, where you can enjoy a discounted meal. It’s a perfect way to unwind and conclude a fantastic day on the river with Apex Raft Company.
