A unique experience - A unique experience. Stunning from the Klaki base camp to the glacier itself. And even more impressive to enter the glacier and be able to walk inside it. With very friendly guides who gave very interesting information about the glacier and about Icelandic culture and folklore. The only but: they didn't give much room to make photos and videos on the glacier

A Glacier Tunnel - The tour was amazing. We were provided with any gear that we needed to make sure we stayed safe and dry. The guide, Joe, was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information. He was also funny. The road to the glacier is very bumpy so be prepared. The length of the tour was excellent.

A most excellent glacier trip 5⭐️ - Our glacier trip was excellent with very knowledgeable hosts, great huge off-road vehicles and a beautiful view inside the life of a glacier. And it snowed on us in August at the top of the glacier. Highly recommend!

Great experience - dress warm! - This was a great experience! It was cold - I didn't dress as warmly as I should have, but they provided waterproof boots that went on over my tennis shoes. It was an amazing experience! The tour guide shared a lot of folklore stories and details about Iceland. It was a great tour. I do recommend dressing warm - it is a glacier!

Amazing - Absolutely stunning 1.5 hr drive from Reykjavik to the activity center. The ride to the base camp is on a heavy duty bus. The ride from the base camp to the cave is on a tundra style vehicle. I wore a long sleeve tee shirt, a heavy flannel shirt and an insulated jacket, blue jeans and sturdy shoes. They provide rain jackets (optional) waterproof boots that fit right over my size 12 shoes (required) and crampons for traction at the cave (also required). I started to get chilled by the end of the 45 min tour. My hands got cold but gloves would be useless because you will be taking lots of pictures. Tour guides were great. Lots of glacier info. And lots of local Icelandic history and traditions. Btw some of the male staff look like Vikings. On the way back a must see is the thermal feature at Krauma spa. It’s right at the parking lot and free to observe. And the tomato soup sold next to the green houses is the best ever.

Different experience! - The experience was unique and something unprecedented for us who came from warm Mediterranean countries. The staff was helpful, polite and smiling. Unfortunately sometimes their English in The tour was not so clear, so many messages we couldn't understand. Before we entered the cave, we were supplied with special ice shoes and a waterproof skirt. Inside the cave, we had the opportunity to hear some details about the glacier, as well as take photos.

It’s Okay, but dress accordingly. - There’s a lot of time spent travelling to the glacier entrance and a lot of hanging around and waiting. The tour into the glacier itself is relatively interesting and lasts about 30 mins, but it’s pretty cold and wet and slushy, so you need to dress accordingly. I’ve done several different tours to glaciers over the years and have had much better experiences to be honest. If it’s a bright sunny day with good visibility i guess it would make for a better experience too.
