Fagradalsfjall Volcano Eruptions: 2023, 2022, 2021 - Nestled in the Geldingadalur valley on the Reykjanes peninsula is Iceland’s newest volcano, Fagradalsfjall. Following nearly 40,000 recorded earthquakes, Fagradalsfjall erupted on March 19th, 2021. Although currently inactive, the newly formed landscape and expansive lava fields are truly breathtaking.
Blue Lagoon - The Blue Lagoon, spanning 5,000 square meters, provides exceptional spa experiences and world-renowned amenities. Its geothermal water emerges from a depth of 2,000 meters at a temperature of approximately 240 degrees, which is then cooled before being channeled into its pools. Gullfoss Waterfall - Gullfoss Waterfall, also known as the “Golden Waterfall,” is one of Europe’s most powerful waterfalls and Iceland’s most popular. Standing 32 meters high, it consists of two cascades that plunge into the Hvítá river. The canyon into which Gullfoss’s waters dramatically fall is approximately two and a half kilometers wide and reaches a depth of 70 meters.
