Lovely and enjoyable - This was a fun and informative experience. It showed us so much of Iceland's beauty. There was two small sections before the ride which spoke about some of Iceland’s history. It is a slow ride and ok for youngish children. I have vertigo and managed the ride without any issues.

I recommend that place 100% - Our visit to FlyOver Iceland was absolutely unforgettable. The storytelling part about the trolls and Icelandic folklore was truly fascinating—it felt magical and captivating, like stepping into a living legend. It set the perfect tone for what was to come. Then came the flight simulation… and wow, it completely blew me away. Flying over Iceland’s dramatic landscapes—waterfalls, glaciers, and coastlines—was a powerful and emotional experience. The combination of motion, visuals, and environmental effects made it feel incredibly real. It’s something I’ll never forget, and I recommend it to absolutely everyone, no matter your age. A very special thank you to Maria, whose kindness, dedication, and patience really stood out. She was especially attentive with the children, offering to help buckle their seatbelts and making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. She was polite, professional, and radiated a calm confidence that made us feel instantly at ease. Maria truly added something special to our experience, and for that, we’re very grateful. FlyOver Iceland is not just a ride—it’s a journey through the heart of Iceland, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful. Do not miss. - Wonderful. Do not miss. You really feel like you're flying over the fabulous landscape. Well worth the ticket price. My 8yo daughter and I enjoyed it immensely. I just wish we'd known you could get another ticket the same day in person, for a discount. Only saw this on the website afterwards. Also, if you're looking for a selfie, you can't, you can only have the paid for typical 'ride' photos, which are meh. But didn't detract from the overall experience which was great.

A great experience, but not perfect - The flight part of the visit is pretty much like nothing we’ve experienced before as a family and we had smiles of our faces throughout! However, I would agree with other reviews that it’s a bit too short and the other parts of the visit feel a bit forced. The quality of the flight footage could also be sharper as some parts were slightly blurry. Overall, we would recommend, as it’s a unique and special experience, but there are areas where the visit could be improved.

Worth doing - If you can, add this to your itinerary ( there are other touristy activities in the area to make the journey worthwhile if you are staying further away ) First the cautionary bits. We found the first parts a bit inconsequential - the troll animation might appeal to small children but that, and the next part felt like a bit of padding of time before the main event. Would have been brilliant to instead use this time to educate more about the country, the history, etc; it felt like a missed opportunity. The overriding lesson from the ‘round table’ was winter turns to spring, spring turns to summer, etc. etc. Very clever graphics but the information could have been more substantial rather than just adding some fluff before the ride. Also, the rather tacky theme-park entry photo opp is unnecessary but I guess at the end of the day they are a tourist attraction and perhaps need the extra money. Standing in a queue for something you don’t want and watch while others are going through the routine is a bit annoying and could be done as an optional thing before starting the event. That all being said, the actual ‘flight’ is great! The guest management is actually very good, organising things so everyone can see and the small numbers make for a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Being on a theme-ride type contraption that helps the 4D ride, adjusting speed, pace and angle of the flight. It is beautifully shot and to see Iceland through a lens with height was really special. Seeing the different terrains, through the seasons, whilst feeling like being on a theme-park ride was really cool. Overall, definitely go and if you feel a bit initially underwhelmed stick with it because you’re in for a treat!

Iceland scenic flight - Okay attraction for half an hour. I would have thought the filming would have been in 4K in this day and age, but was okay. People who suffer with motion sickness may struggle with the experience.

Disappointed. - After reading the reviews I expected better. Over priced really. I was a little plane sick on the short enough stimulator ride. With the two walk In story rooms it did bring the experience up to your half hour. I was surprised there was no volcanic action on the film and I expected a little more 4D experience. On another note We had only arrived in the country and took a taxi from a rank outside our hotel. He tried to over charge us until I complained, then he dropped it considerably- very sad on tourists.

Disappointing experience - The experience was very disappointing for the money we paid. The start of the experience was great but the flight not so. We were expecting to see so much more of what Iceland has to offer. No Northern lights, or wildlife. It seemed to jump from one thing to another and as soon as we were getting into the ride it was over.
