Cool experience - Amazing, one of the only tours available in August and the northern lights looked amazing! Although if you are going in August obviously you cannot expect the same amount of northern lights as winter: the professional photography was amazing along with the hot cocoa :)

An evening with aurora - Nordur truly stands by their guarantee. This was a fantastic tour to see the northern lights! We were provided with hand warmers and hot chocolate, which made the chilly night much more comfortable. Our guide was entertaining, incredibly patient, and very helpful—he made sure everyone had their phones set up perfectly to capture the aurora. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience - Calvin is an amazing guide! He gave us a lot of great information and advice on what to look for and how to take pictures. He made sure we got the most out of our excursion. Very attentive and friendly. Would recommend this for all.

Northern Lights - There are no words to describe how wonderful this trip was. Kel, our tour director, was patient, funny, and attentive. He stayed out with us and took pictures of us and the northern lights. Hot cocoa and cookies were a nice touch. Kel was amazing and I am glad I picked this trip!

We did see the Northern... - We did see the Northern Lights, which was the highlight, and the coffee and doughnuts were a nice touch. However, pickup was an hour late and the tour overall felt very flat. Our guide, Margot (sp), was kind but lacked energy and enthusiasm. She didn’t share any folklore and only gave a brief explanation of the science behind the lights. Hand warmers weren’t offered (we found them ourselves on the bus), and both drives were almost completely silent, which made a late-night tour harder to stay engaged in. At the first stop, when clouds blocked the view, she asked us if we wanted to give up or try other locations instead of confidently guiding the decision. Thankfully, after moving to a second spot by the ocean, we did see the aurora. Overall, it felt more like just a ride to the lights than a truly guided experience.

It is a risk. No northern... - It is a risk. No northern lights, lost my money. Weather was bad. These tours should be cancelled when there is evidence that the night may be cloudy!

I paid $500 to be driven around in a bus and saw nothing ... - The company was fine and on time and everything, but basically I paid $500 for three of us to go for a ride at midnight. I think the company should consider not offering the tour in summer months, or canceling and refunding when the weather is cloudy. I'm sure our driver had an idea we wouldn't see anything due to the clouds, but we still went. I understand the company has no control over northern lights appearing, but I wouldn't recommend this activity due to the unlikelihood of seeing something. I feel like it was a huge waste of money in an already expensive country.
