Visitors can witness the lava and the new land formed during the 1973 eruption. A short hike to the summit of Eldfell volcanic crater, the origin of this dramatic eruption, is also part of the experience.

The Westman Islands boast some of the finest dining options. Lunch will be enjoyed at GOTT (or a similar venue), a charming restaurant that prides itself on using fresh, authentic ingredients, with the meal included in the tour package.

Post-lunch, there is ample time to further explore the islands. With guidance from a Hidden Iceland expert, visitors can venture to the southern side of Heimaey to discover the cliffs, farms, and embark on a brief walk in search of puffins. During the summer, the Westman Islands are among the top locations in Iceland for observing puffins.
