They have undergone years of religious and Sufi education and experiences. This is a 700-year-old religious ceremony, a unique way for dervishes to connect with Allah.

This is not a lively, touristy show; it is a spiritual performance where dervishes engage in their meditation ceremony to reach nirvana. Whirling dervish ceremonies began as a form of meditation by Jalaluddin Rumi, the renowned Sufi Muslim mystic and poet, in the 13th century. Today, Sufism has many followers worldwide.
