New View of Old City - An excellent tour of RVA with highlights of landmarks blended with stories of real historical figures who contributed greatly to their time and place. Even if you have lived here all your life, you will likely meet a new historical figure and hear a few facts that are new to you. They were to me. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Excellent Historical Tour of RVA - The information which our guide, Melissa, gave was compelling and lively. Seeing the various places in RVA and learning about the history of the area, the architecture and business changes from the Revolutionary War were very interesting. She is a walking encyclopedia.
The only cons were that the volume of the speaker was loudly uncomfortable. She was respectfully asked twice to lower the volume on the microphone but my observation was that she didn’t understand or believe that her voice and intention alone were more than was needed for the passengers to hear her.
The other con is the ride is bumpy and the trolley seats are hard slatted wood. Bring a cushion for a more comfortable ride.

Just ok - It could have been so much better, the smell of diesel inside the trolley was overwhelming and when the tour guide pointed out the sites to see they were always on the right side of the trolley so if you sat on the left side, you couldn't see a thing. On the bright side our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learn a lot about Richmond on the tour just wish we could have seen some of the old architecture she was talking about. Next time in Richmond we will drive around on our own and see the sites.
