walking tour of riga. - Gita or guide met us promptly at the departure point (opposite the school for an extra bit of info for you all) .  As it says, they will wait approx 5 mins for late comes but then the group is off! Two hours,  very informative tour of the city without the history being too heavy. Stops at all the main points of interest and at a gentle pace. You could ask questions as the tour went along and all in all the time flew by. Great way to spend my last morning in beautiful Riga, with the sun out finally! Have to come back when sun or for longer!

Excellent tour of downtown Riga. - Very nice tour. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Riga and Latvia in general. Baiba did a great job explaining the places and buildings we walked by and the stories about them. She also did an excellent job giving us recommendations for authentic Latvian restaurants. I would recommend this tour.

Lots of history in the beautiful old town - My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour- we were the only two on it, so it was a private tour of the old town! We learned a lot about the city and the history of Latvia as well- our guide was extremely knowledgable and made some recommendations for places to stop in after the tour as well. This was a great way to see the Old town and learn about its history.

Informative, well organized and FREE ! - Every day at 11am at designated point there is a free walking tour of Riga in English/German and Latvian, covers all the main places of interest within the Old Town and at zero cost why would one not participate. A really good exercise in city hospitality, other capital cities take note!

Earn your Aperol Spritz and Learn Some History - We ended up with a private tour! I almost felt bad that they hadn't canceled because it was just my husband and I and our lovely tour guide. But we got to see some interesting little spots that might not have been on the tour otherwise since there was only three of us so we didn't arise suspicion going into places and looking around. Our guide was very knowledgeable and communicative and clearly knew the city incredibly well.

Nice place - Must visit area - especially the churches, shops and the bars. Nice place to be when the weather is nice. The streets give you nostalgic feelings. It is a little expensive though so try not to buy anything from there.

A lot of Art Nuveau - We enjoyed the walking tour in the old city together with our very kind guide. There is a lot of great old buildings and the guide spoke a lot about them and we’ll be able to recognize art nouveau for ever, but we would have liked a little more history and a few anecdotes about recent time too.
