Guests will be collected from their hotel in Riga by an English-speaking driver and transported to the Sigulda region of Latvia. After exploring Turaida Palace, the journey will continue to Pärnu town, followed by a direct drive to Tallinn city. The driver will accompany guests to the museum ticket office. This is a full-day excursion, and the driver will recommend local restaurants for lunch. Please notify us in advance if any detours are desired, as the route can be adjusted to accommodate them. Turaida Castle - Before the stone Turaida Castle was constructed starting in 1214, a wooden castle built by the Livs stood on the site. The Turaida Castle was under the ownership of the bishop of Rīga. It remained until 1776 when it was destroyed by fire. The original entrance to the castle’s main tower was 9 meters above the ground, and in 1936, a viewing platform was added at a height of 27 meters. The view from Turaida Castle is unparalleled in Latvia! Restoration efforts began in 1953, with the upper level of the tower being restored and a roof added. The castle now houses a museum exhibition detailing the historical events of the surrounding area.

Pärnu Town - Pärnu is a resort seaside city (and Estonia’s summer capital) with a small harbor in southwestern Estonia. The city is renowned for its spas, shallow white sandy beach, and beautiful parks. It is also a favored location for conferences, theater performances, and concerts. The first spa opened in 1838, and today Pärnu is an internationally recognized health resort. During the Great Northern War, the University of Tartu was relocated to Pärnu from 1699-1710. Tartu University still maintains a branch campus there today. Since 1996, Pärnu has been celebrated as Estonia’s Summer Capital. Beach life, numerous festivals, a charming old town with restaurants, concerts, and funfairs - Pärnu offers it all.

Travel from Riga to Tallinn with a stop at Turaida Castle and Parnu town. An English-speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel in Riga. The entire journey will take approximately 7 to 8 hours, and recommendations for local restaurants for lunch will be provided.

Our English-speaking driver will offer basic information, answer your questions, guide you to ticket offices, and suggest the best local restaurants for lunch. If a licensed guide is desired, arrangements can be made at an additional cost at the sites we will visit. Please inform us in advance if this service is required so we can make the necessary bookings.
