The hike will take you up the hillside of Riomaggiore to access the trail leading to Portovenere. The views along this route are among the most stunning in the region. There will be opportunities to pause for photos and discuss the rich history of Cinque Terre and its surroundings. The hike offers a wealth of knowledge, with ever-changing landscapes. For the return journey, you can opt for a ferry back to Riomaggiore, providing a wonderful perspective on the distance covered. Alternatively, there is a bus or ferry back to La Spezia, though these are not included in the price. The ferry to Riomaggiore costs 18 euros, while the ferry to La Spezia port is 8 euros, and the bus fare is 2.50 euros.

This small-group tour is an intermediate trek with the best views. Unlike the Cinque Terre Trek, this offers a more challenging trek with a rewarding destination – Portovenere. The pace is yours, so we provide an excellent time to enjoy yourself. It will take at least 6 hours of trekking to arrive in Portovenere. This is not for people with vertigo, as the trek goes over some thin areas on the outer trail. After you arrive in Portovenere, the time is yours to swim, have a nice lunch, or stroll the back allies. You will be given your ticket for the boat ride back to Riomaggiore or Monterosso. If the seas become high and all the boats are canceled. In that case, you will take the bus & train back to Cinque Terre. This trek can be 1 to 10 people; the expected average is 1 to 4 people on this tour.
- A maximum of 10 people per booking
- If possible, wear good walking shoes with traction. NO sandals, flip flops or open toe shoes recommended
