A stellar trip - Basher (sp) was an awesome host. The trip included so much more than what is described here. So many photo stops, camels, monkeys, gorgeous views, and delicious cooking. It was a wonderful day to remember.

A must to trip if you visit Riyadh - This is a must if you visit Riyadh! Everything was perfectly organised, great drivers…we had Bashar who was fantastic, telling us information about the sights in Riyadh as we drove out to Edge of the World. Everyone was so friendly and happy to help take photos etc of the wonderful sights. We saw the sunset, which was unreal, and the guides captured snapshots of us sat watching without us knowing creating brilliant sunset pictures. The diner was great too, and the setting under the stars just closed a fantastic day. Thanks again to Riyadh Hiking

A Memorable Journey with an Exceptional Guide! - Mashari Majed is a legend. (excuse me if I didn't get his name right) He’s a licensed tour guide certified by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. I know this because we had long, engaging conversations throughout the trip. I was curious about his profession and what it takes to be a tour guide in Saudi Arabia—and I’m glad to learn that the country takes this role seriously. The result was an outstanding experience led by a genuinely excellent guide. Mashari made the entire journey interesting and enjoyable. He ensured that my brother, cousin (who was seated in the back), and I were comfortable and having fun the whole time. He shared stories about the history of various places, including the origins of village and road names along our route. His storytelling was lively, intuitive, and always engaging. He also took us to scenic spots he personally loved, which made the experience feel more authentic and less scripted. A true outdoorsman, Mashari was clearly experienced and capable—he kept us safe, provided timely breaks, and struck the perfect balance between structure and spontaneity. About the Tour Experience The Edge of the World itself is simply stunning. I’d been dealing with a lot of work-related stress, and this trip felt like a much-needed reset. I imagined turning all my stress into a ball and tossing it off the cliff. It was that freeing. We connected with fellow travelers, swapped stories under the stars, and shared a meal together. The dinner—Kabsa (a traditional dish of chicken and rice)—was admittedly a bit bland. But there was a story behind that. Our guide explained the difference between Kabsa cooked in a kitchen and one made in the wilderness: fewer ingredients, more simplicity. It was meant to be part of the authentic wilderness experience, and I appreciated the explanation even if the flavor was muted. On the way to the Edge of the World (about a 1.5-hour drive from the Riyadh pickup point), we stopped for a bathroom and snack break, visited a gazelle reserve where we took photos of the graceful animals, and explored nearby valleys. Mashari taught us about the geographic formations and local history, adding depth to the sights. The return journey—roughly two hours—flew by. We exchanged more stories with Mashari, making it feel like a 20-minute ride. I’ll remember this day for a long time. P.S. We went on a hot June 27th, 2025, but the desert climate at sunset was surprisingly pleasant and added to the magic of the experience. The trip started at 3:15pm and we were back by 9:30pm.

Bashar is incredibly... - Bashar is incredibly welcoming and made the experience feel relaxed. He took us to all the best viewpoints without rushing. Muhammad is an outstanding guide—friendly, engaging, and made us feel completely safe throughout. The evening ended perfectly with dinner under the stars. A memorable and magical experience!

A perfect way to see the edge of the world. - We had a great time with Mushara and our edge of the world experience. They met us on time at the easy to get to pickup location. We drove out to the edge of the world location, along the way, stopped to see camels and gazelle's, before arriving at the edge of the world, a stunning location. We then had plenty of time to walk around the area including watching the sun set. We then had a simple but delicious dinner cooked by our two guides, which was perfect as its a long afternoon from about 3pm to 9pm, so dinner was perfect!
