- Las Coloradas - Continuing the tour, visitors will explore the pink lake or lagoon of “Las Coloradas.” The water and surrounding environment are highly saline, attracting brine shrimp, plankton, and red algae. As the water evaporates under the sun, these organisms become more concentrated, creating the renowned bright pink water. Since the salt consumed is processed here, entering the water is prohibited, but a tour around the lake offers incredible photo opportunities.
- Zona Arqueológica de Ek Balam - The Ek Balam ruin is one of the tallest in the region, reaching 95 feet. Visitors can climb to the highest point of the ruins, rising above the treetops for a breathtaking view of the peninsula.
- Cenote Hubiku - Finally, the tour visits the Mayan town of Hubiku, where visitors can swim in a beautiful cenote, sample local liquors, and enjoy delicious Yucatecan cuisine for lunch. Cenote Hubiku, meaning “the great lord” or “nest of the iguanas,” is a young semi-open cenote. Its surface features a small opening at the top, allowing sunlight to enter and create stunning sparkles in the water, showcasing its blue hue.
