- Altun Ha - Once our guests are pick up by our driver/guide they will then be driven through Belize City as they make there way to the Altun Ha for there tour. Guest will be able to see some land marks of City such as the Baron Bliss Light house as well as the Museum of Belize a brick building that was use in the past as a prison. The drive is approximately an hour to the site. going north from Belize City. Along the way you will also get to see portion of the historic Old Belize River use as the first mode of transportation before there were any road net work in the country. You also get to see a few rural communities in the Belize District along the route. Once at the site you will be able to access and use the well sanitize rest rooms from there your tours begins with first with a walk through the museum on the site. Your guide will then accompanied you to the Mayan site of Altun Ha were you will be provided a guided tour with detail information of this ancient but important Mayan City

Albert is the best - Fantastic tour! ALBERT was incredible!! A wealth of knowledge, of the rich history of the Mayan culture. Not a dull moment!! I would definitely book again!

Great experience with Albert - Albert did a wonderful job! He explained in great detail all that we were seeing and added so much color and information to the history of Belize. We really enjoyed the tour and Albert’s passion for history and his country.

great experience - Great experience, amazing site, and great guide! Albert is very knowledgeable and also super nice. The itinerary was very clear and we were on schedule the whole time. He picked us up on time and we were also done on time. The ride was very comfortable and pleasant and the site is really amazing and very impressive.

Solo travelers beware - Tour guide knowledgeable, its unfortunate solo travelers are unable to buy one ticket. Only way I could book a tour was to buy two tickets. All tours in Belize were like that. I have not experienced that before. I was not the only one on the tour.

Amazing Time !!! - I absolutely loved this experience. It was a great way to dive into Mayan culture! Our guide was super nice and very knowledgeable of everything we were seeing. He even gave us the history of Belize as we drove over to the ruins. The actual site was breathtaking, so I would definitely recommend visiting! After we were able to get some nice souvenirs, which I absolutely love!

Best tour guide in Belize - Our fabulous guide, “Gordo” met our tender ( from our Oceania cruise ship, Vista, )when we all arrived by “tender” in Belize.
He was extremely friendly, kind, humorous, & knowledgeable.

link up w him. He also speaks about 5 languages!

An enjoyable trip, would recommend this company. - We booked this Altun Ha Mayan Temple trip with A Plus Adventure Belize at the last minute, having already met locals selling similar itineraries at the ferry terminal close to our hotel. Admittedly A Plus were slightly more expensive but we felt they offered a more reliable service and we were not dissatisfied in our decision.
After booking, we received our ticket (all via Trip Advisor), and the time slot ref. collection direct from our hotel. All went smoothly (despite a minor time delay). We had a comfortable air-conditioned drive as Mark ( driver & guide) transferred us to the temple. A bottle of water was also provided and earlier I was able to easily contact the company and receive message updates ref. the slight pick-up delay.
Once there, Mark helpfully guided us (and the other vehicle guests) around the impressive ancient ruin, which really was worth the visit/expense. Point to note, the A Plus booking does not include the site entrance fee of $10 per person! We incorrectly assumed it did… but again this wasn’t really an issue.
Then it was time to return to the vehicle for our transfer back to Belize City. One hour drive, one hour visit and one hour return… to be honest another 30 minutes at the temple would have been preferable but that is just my opinion, some may say the hour is enough.
So overall a really worthwhile trip, to have not visited the temple would have been something we would regret after the holiday.
A big ‘thank you’ to Mark (our guide) and the company, we had an enjoyable, worthwhile experience.
