- As this is a walking tour with steps, staircases and uneven surfaces, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended

Wonderful tours, evening better guide - Our guide, Marta, was spectacular. Great depth of knowledge, never rushed us, answered all questions, and tuned to our physical comfort. The tour itself is comprehensive.

Highly recommend - We cannot say enough good things about our tour with Eugenia. We had already had the fortune of having her as our TE guide three days previously on the Jubilee tour. I took the tour with my adult daughter and a couple. It really felt like a private tour with friends. The attractions were startlingly crowded, but we were able to skip the lines with Eugenia, and she efficiently shepherded us through the crowds and steered us to the best viewpoints. Her storytelling really brought the ruins to life...trying to DIY would be, as she put it, mostly trying to stare at a pile of rocks, trying to make sense of it. We did DIY it ten years ago...night and day. I would liken DIY'ing it to driving. You're trying to read (or listen to) the guidebook, orientate yourself, look for signs and features. Having a guide is being the passenger who can just enjoy the view. Eugenia is very kind, very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and endlessly patient with my many questions. I highly recommend TE tours and they would be my top choice if/when I am fortunate enough to return. Thank you, Eugenia!

Paolo L brings Ancient Rome to life! - Paolo Lenzi is an incredible guide! His knack for story telling brought history to life for us all. Ancient Rome magical experience! - This was a great tour to wet the appetite for all the history that is packed into the Roman forum, Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum. Thomas lead us through the history with an overview of significant historical events as they relate to the locations we visited. This tour inspired us to want to return to Rome and dive deeper into the history of these areas filled with historical wonders waiting to be discovered. Thank you Thomas for sharing your knowledge!

Fascinating tour of ancient Roman sites - Despite a rainy day, we enjoyed the comprehensive tour given by Eugenia. She was able to bring the ancient Roman city in the Roman Forum to life with her explanations and descriptions while we walked about the ruins. The Colosseum was equally as interesting and the explanations of what occurred there were fascinating. We were able to skip the long lines and optimize the time we spent at these amazing sites. The tour was well worth it!

Fast, thorough, engaging tour with Enrica of the Forum, Palantine and Coliseum. - So happy to tour with Enrica again. As she has studied the history extensively and is a native Roman she tells fascinating stories that feel authentic and insightful.
We walked through the forum a bit first to understand how Rome began and developed. After a quick peek into a super site to see a newly uncovered early Christian church, we took the ramps up to Palantine hill. We saw the layers of the mansions built there and learned about life for the nobles and those who served them. We enjoyed the gardens, views of the forum from above and then finished up in the Coliseum.
We always wish there was more time, but overall we were very pleased with this tour and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome for their first time.

Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide - Our tour guide, Eugenia, did an excellent job! She is extremely knowledgeable and explained things very clearly. The group was small, which made it easy to hear the guide and see what she was explaining. Overall, we had a great experience and learned so much more than if we had gone on our own!

Palatine hill was amazing! - Guia was just lovely. She was so informative, trying to make history come alive for us, showing us what palatine hill would have looked like in its day. It was a pleasure to stroll along with her and absorbed all of the history of this wonderful place. She kept a perfect pace while letting us take many many pictures of all that surrounded us. She told us things that interested and pertained to all in our group. Thank you for the highlight of our time in Rome.

Loved this tour, very informative! - Enrica was a fabulous tour guide. She was very personable, funny and extremely knowledgeable. The small group tour size was perfect for us and we would recommend a small group in such a large place. Enrica’s passion for her city was wonderful and we enjoyed her genuine personality and ability to share the history. We highly recommend this tour!!

Wonderful tour of the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill - A truly wonderful tour with Claudia and we were lucky that we had her all to ourselves on this lovely sunny day!
The tour started with the Forum, then Palatine Hill and ended with the Colosseum, three absolute incredible ancient sites. Claudia provided both lots of historical facts and legends/ tales surrounding these fantastic ancient sites. We learned a lot from Claudia who was a delightful guide! Thank you Claudia!
