A must for fans of the Angels and Demons book and/or movie! - Excellent experience! A good balance of walking and driving so I did not get too tired but still got to see the sights. A must for fans of Dan Brown’s novels. Andrea was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide! Some highlights for me were seeing the Saint Teresa in Ecstasy statue as well as Castle Sant’Angelo.

We had a great morning... - We had a great morning gaining fascinating insights into the historical sites included in the book. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour, so the experience was all the more unique. Our guide, Inti, was awesome! Besides his thorough knowledge of the ancient sites, he also brought the experience to life by adding some dramatic effect and humour. We’re really glad we did this tour and would recommend it to fans of the book and those interested in seeing some of the not so obvious sites too.

Even better than the book! - Being in Rome just days after the passing of the Pope made this Angels and Demons tour even more poignant. However, the highlight of the tour was our guide, Inta. He made this tour fun and informative. He weaved drama, history and his own unique brand of excitement to entertain us all.

Excellent morning in Rome - Even if you didn't like the movie or book this is an excellent tour. Mauro, our guide, did an outstanding job describing and touring us through the churches, piazzas, St Peters Square and Castel Sant'Angelo. Part of the trip was on foot, a ride was provided between most stops. Excellent views of Rome from the castel top. We even stoped for Rome's most iconic pastry, (Maritozzi) it was delicious. Thanks Mauro for a great day!

Great tour for Dan Brown fans! - Rob was a great tour guide. As big Angels and Demons fans, it was amazing not only to see the sites from the book and movie in person, but to hear the ins and outs of the story from someone who knows it so well. Big thanks for making our day!

An interesting day - Our guide was very knowledgeable, however, the stops were a bit disappointing. Santa Maria del Popolo, the first church, has been closed for almost a year and is still advertised as a stop on the itinerary. The Pantheon, confirmed in our booking, mysteriously disappeared from the itinerary. The other locations were terrific and our guide gave them adequate attention. As a fan of the book, Angels and Demons, visiting some of the locations gave me an appreciation of how Dan Brown put the story together.

Extremely disappointing tour - We were extremely disappointed with this tour and would not recommend to anyone. Definitely did not get the experience or value for money. No less than three film locations did we get to see. Wish we had done on our own and saved our money

What a Disaster. Viator should know better. It’s basically poor preparation. - Our angels and Demons tour experience was the worst tour we’ve ever taken… It was our tour operators/directors fault—they should’ve known that the new Pope was speaking so we could not go to the Vatican although she drove us there and we walked over 2.5 miles & did not get in the actual area where the tour was supposed to be. Also, it was a Sunday morning and we couldn’t get in the Santa Maria de Popolo church, & could not get to the San Angelo castle in time for our entry tickets, And finally, had to skip Plaza de Navona. The only place we got to was one church Santa Maria Vittoria.
The hardest part of a “did not go to places the tour described”- —you waste precious little time that you’re in Rome and we were 6 hours on this tour not 3 1/2 as it was advertised. And tour was dropped midway in the middle nowhere with a tour guide, trying to get answers from the tour company about what to do next. After an hour of texting and waiting We finally just gave up. We were next to the last guests to leave the trip. Everyone else was gone. No entrance into Castel Sant’Angelo, and no snacks as offered, no access to 4 of 5 places on the tour.
Finally, Viator offered to repay us $10 each for our lack of a tour when we had paid over $200 for the tour. We have taken several tours, but this will be the last one if we don’t get our money back.
