An unforgettable Saturday in May - Rental service located in a strategic position to begin the tour of the Appia Antica. Online I had booked a city bike but at the time of delivery I was recommended the mountain bike for greater safety along the way: valuable advice! I really enjoyed this rental service! Undoubtedly recommend it! The added value is the bar next door, so before getting on the saddle you can indulge in a refreshing drink or coffee and then set off on an adventure!

Great activity to get out of the city and an amazing guide! - Emanuele was great, he took us to great sightseeing points and had deep knowledge of the history of the area. He was attentive to our needs including watching the weather for us and taking all the photos we desired. I really enjoyed hanging with him for the afternoon. Also the pizza spot he recommended near the Circo Massimo was the best we had in Rome!

E Bike Hire along the Appian Way - The bike hire location is great - basically integrated with the Appian Way Cafe ( cnr Via Cecilia Metelli) with a rustic outdoor area and decent coffee and snacks, plus a bathroom. We got buses to Appia Pignatelli then walked 10 minutes to the cafe. Paul was friendly and helpful, e bikes were good. The main section of the Appian Way from here is south. You'd need probably a full 4 hours of riding to go down and around to the Aquaduct Park and back without stopping anywhere. We went south about 7 miles - visited the Villa Quintili for 40 min or so , and then turned around to get back to the cafe in 3 hours. That is, we rode only on the old Appian Way, not on any connecting roads with traffic etc. 3 hours was enough for us on the fairly bumpy Way! Then we walked north to the other monuments inc. S. Sebastian catacombes ( highly recommended) and caught a bus back to the city. It was a great experience and probably better on those days where cars are not allowed on the Way (Sundays and public holidays). We went on Liberation Day public holiday. (Though residents and delivery vans and visitors to the more substantial restaurants north of the cafe still drive on it).

Adventure at Via Appia - I really enjoyed this bike experience. But! It can be very difficult at times so go for the adventure. The beefy electric bikes are a must. Even then, if you’re not really good with bikes, it will be challenging at times. The rental place was very good and customer friendly.

Via Appia by electric bike - great excursion! - Beautiful country side. Easy ride. Very few cars. Lots of ruins and relics along the way. The springs flowers were in bloom. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Awesome day on the Appia tour - On time meet up, friendly courteous staff, knowledgeable historical significance of various sites and above and beyond desire to ensure we had a good experience with couple of unplanned stops along the way. ‘Alessio’ was super. Thanks guys.

Bike tour on Via Appia Antica 😊 - Wonderful experience. The e-bike was absolutely fine. Via Appia Antica is great. However, you should already be an accomplished cyclist. Then nothing stands in the way of a great trip

Book e-bike Appian Way tour ex Rome city centre instead of independent - e-Bikes were fine, the chaps at the rental place were all good. We booked independent of a tour, and caught metro train, then bus to Appia. We also had dreadful time getting lost in the park. In hindsight - book a tour riding bikes from Rome city centre itself. Be a hang of a lot easier than what we did. City centre would only be 15mins tops from the Appian Way on E bikes.

Unfortunately disappointing - E-bikes were rather old, no suspension on the rough terrain, communication on arrival not good, although I had to state our sizes in advance, I was first assigned a too small bike and only changed to mine please, helmets and locks were also only issued on request by me, no map explanation and closing time ltHonepage 17:30, although I had booked until 6 pm! This tour operator rather no longer!
