Amazing art! - Me and my daughter attended this tour. We did not prepare in advance. Our tour guide was excellent! He explained history and art in such an interesting manner that all the stories stuck to our minds. Beautiful place with amazing art . Going hand in hand with Vatican art /museum. Around the house is very nice park that you could tour on your own. Overall very good experience.

The guide makes the visit - Geting tickets without a guided tour was almost impossible. But this was our luck. Visiting villa Borghese without a guide would be the same as Roméo without his Juliet. Salvatore our guide made this visit more than worthy. Bernini’s masterpieces explained made them seeming alive, Caravaggio’s painting secrets more than interesting. And to end…I’m engaged. So, more than five stars. But mostly because of my future husband and than because of Salvatore, the guide!

MUST See Gallery - The Borghese gallery is a MUST see in Rome. But be aware that they only allow 350 people every 2 hours, so tickets can be hard to find. Because of this I 100/10 recommend taking a guided tour. They house some of the most beautiful art from masters like Bernini and Caravaggio that you just have to see in person to really capture the beauty. Our tour guide Salvador was so knowledgeable and made sure our group saw everything we needed to see in our allotted time. He even pointed out the “unnecessary” details Bernini added to his sculptures really cement how talented the artist was. Plan your visit a couple months in advance and book a tour for the best visit of the Borghese gallery.

Must See Gallery - The Borghese Gallery is a MUST see in Rome. I would definetly recommend a tour with a knowledgeable guide like we had. Salvador was amazing! As an art historian, he was able to give us intricate details about the pieces we were seeing by masters of their craft (Caravaggio, Bernini, etc.). He even pointed out the “unnecessary” additions Bernini added to his sculptures, such as a mole on Pluto’s back, to really cement the fact that he was a brilliant artist. You only have 2 hours in the gallery, but Salvador never hesitated to answer my many questions (while keeping our group moving along). You must see this gallery and you must see it with a guide hopefully as amazing as ours.
