Explore Rome’s Capuchin Crypts, adorned with the bones of over 3,700 monks. Skulls create intricate wall designs, vertebrae are transformed into chandeliers, and entire rooms offer a profound reflection on mortality.

Before entering, a guide will explain the reasons behind the Capuchins’ unique display and the symbolism of the bone arrangements. Inside, visitors will use the venue’s mandatory audio guide, while the guide remains available to answer any questions that may arise when standing beneath a spine.

Most tours conclude at the crypt. Ours does not.

Afterwards, continue through Rome’s historic center to discover the darker tales hidden behind the city’s elegant monuments - ghosts appearing at the Trevi Fountain, culinary scandals reminiscent of Sweeney Todd, and a woman’s hand too beautiful to remain hidden after her death.
