Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum Tour - Our tour was amazing. Lorenzo was very knowledgeable, professional and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I also have to thank Viator for arranging this tour when there was a last minute change in the schedule for the Colosseum. The office went above and beyond to make sure we didn't miss these sites on our trip.

Beware of first Sundays of the month - We booked this tour for Sunday 1/4/26 weeks in advance. We got a message on the day of the tour that the tour was being canceled because admission was free the first Sunday of the month. Ok... if the tour company doesn't run guided tours when admission is free on the first Sunday of the month... which apparently is free every first Sunday of the month... why would they take reservations for those days? We were able to pivot and get tickets to visit on our own, but did miss having a guided tour experience. I'm thinking during busier times of the year, this nay have been a bigger problem!

Dissapointing and Unprofessional. - Horrible experience, after reserving the tour over a month prior, Viator decided to cancel the tour the adternoon prior to the tour date.

Terrible service - Terrible, cancelled four hours before tour citing due to first Sunday of month being free so they cannot do the tour. It was indeed the first Sunday and the coliseum was free. So why did the tour operator take our money and book it in the first place, only to have to process a refund?

badly organized by tour operator... - The starting point was not clear. I was there about 15 min earlier, but still could not find guide or anyone who could point me in right direction. Few times i was directed to different point by same male, who in the end said that i was on the list! he told me that my group is already at the Colosseum and told me to go there and find them! You can only imagine how many people were at the entrance to Colosseum. I managed to find the group and joined them just before they entered, however i found it appealing the i was being dealt with. The rest of the tour was fine, however i would strongly recommend that you find another tour operator if you want to take the part in the tour from the beginning to the end... The tour is not cheap and i almost missed it due to bad organization by the tour operator.

Bad communication and tour guide didn’t show - Tour guide didn’t show and we learned from another couple waiting with us that the tour had been cancelled. This was communicated to the couple waiting with us by a chat with the operator. Had we known the tour had been cancelled, we would have booked something else. We did enjoy walking the area around the Colosseum and the Forum, but would have loved to go into both. We’re talking with Viator and hoping to get a refund. We did a tour through Viator of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and it was wonderful.
