FOROF is a unique blend of archaeology and contemporary art, engaging in a mutual process of renewal, inspired by the cultural cafes of the 20th-century avant-garde. It offers an immersive and multisensory experience, providing visitors with a genuine encounter, enriched by the distinctiveness of the location and its history. Established by Giovanna Caruso Fendi, FOROF is the first permanent and ongoing establishment in Rome to present the combination of contemporary art and archaeology in a regenerative process. Situated in the heart of Rome, it preserves the colorful marble flooring of the Basilica Ulpia and the remnants of the eastern apse from the 2nd century AD. FOROF transports visitors back in time through an olfactory journey. FOROF ESSENZA aims to capture the essence of a place, narrating a cultural and social story about the universal value of freedom.
