Easy to use, low-price storage option for the Colosseum! - I was in Rome for 24 hours on a solo trip. I stayed in Vatican city and had a Colosseum tour booked for 08.45am and was also flying home later that day. My plan was to use the metro, exit at Termini (where I would later leave for the airport) and put my large back-pack into storage then onto the colosseum. I FORGOT to leave Termini to store my bag and didn't have time to go back. This is where Rome bag storage came to the rescue! I realised I still had by bag when I walked out of colosseum metro station (the colosseum is right in front of you) so immediately googled bag storage options. There are a few round the colosseum area but they were all closed (this was around 8am) except for this place. It was a bit of a walk as it's located one street back on the OTHER side of the colosseum but I found it in the end. There are 3 x sizes of lockers, you pick your size and how much time you want then enter a 6 digit code of your choosing plus your mobile number, tap your card for payment and the locker opens. You can go back at any time and open it if you need to access something inside or if you're done you can select the final open option. Opening was easy just enter the 6 digit code you chose plus your number. I chose the 6 hour option which ended up costing me 6.80 Euros (£5.91) Overall a nice little facility and a life saver on the day being the only storage place open. The room was airconditioned which was awesome as I was hot from all the rushing around! The only feedback is it could've done with a little table as I had to sort some stuff out in my bag and had to do it on the floor. 5 stars all-round!
