- The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius requires a good level of general fitness. The walk is uphill at a 14 degree angle and takes roughly 20 minutes.

Memorable Journey to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius - We had an absolutely wonderful trip! Everything was very well organized: the ride in a comfortable bus; having different knowledgeable guides (during the trip, for the visit to Pompeii, and to Mount Vesuvius); being provided a good pizza lunch in a restaurant with a great view onto Naples; and stopping at a small Italian store. We like to specifically thank our fantastic tour guide Marius who from the first moment on, made sure that we had a good time and were well informed. With a great sense of humor and substantial historical and political knowledge about the area he told us many interesting facts during the trip. Further, he made sure everything went smoothly and on schedule. We also commend our driver, Luca, for a safe and pleasant journey.

Well informed. A beautiful trip. - We had a wonderful time with John from City Tours. We spent time at Pompeii with a knowledgeable tour guide who shared information about the city and the every day lifestyle of the people. Next, we had lunch on Mt Vesuvius where we enjoyed wine and a Neapolitan pizza. 🤌 We then hiked Mt. Vesuvius where we again were well informed about the eruption. Both on the trip to and from John shared history and facts about the area. I would highly reccomend .

Definitely recommend! - Despite the showers, although we were extremely lucky to not get caught into it, the whole day was epic. Rob was great, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Limoncello stop is a scam. - The tour is great, Julius and Anthony great guys.
Be aware LIMONCELLO STOP is a scam you will find the same at the airport for less.

A éviter dans ces conditions - By booking the tour, no option about the visiting of the volcano top was available. Still written on the ticket that you have two options on the tour, but really you have no option ! And no help from the staff. Bus Trip was good with Enrico and Valentina. Our guide Willy in Pompeii was incredible!! Stupids jocks… all the time and really not interesting! A shame to this beautiful city of Pompeii. Avoid this trip.

Broken bus and refund denied - Meet up spot was incredibly disorganized. Pompeii tour guide was great - showed us as much as she could in the time allowed. However, our bus broke down so we never made it to Vesuvius. Our partial refund request was also denied. Overall, very disappointed we wasted a day of our honeymoon in a broken down bus. 13 hours start to finish and no backup snacks/water available.

Completely disorganised and chaotic schedules change, very unprofessional guide! - For a 13.5-hour bus tour, we spend nearly 10 hours on the bus, all we got were three toilet breaks, an unexpected limoncello shop tour, a 30-minute free walk in Sorrento, and the only worthwhile sightseeing was the 1.5-hour Pompeii site tour (rushed, covering only about a quarter of the park).
The schedule kept changing, and activities were cancelled at the last minute with only brief notifications.
For a tour that started at 7:30 a.m., we had nothing other than two toilet stops until 12:40. The guide was not prepared, informative, or efficient. According to the itinerary, the Mt. Vesuvius hike was supposed to take place in the afternoon, but it was suddenly moved to first thing in the morning and ended up being cancelled due to strong wind (the weather issue is understandable). However, things got even worse: after a quick 30-minute stop in Sorrento, we were suddenly told that the included three-course authentic Napoli lunch with views was cancelled for a refund, and that we had 45 minutes to find food on our own—with no guidance at all.
What was most disappointing was the way this was communicated. The guide acted as if it was no big deal that the lunch had been cancelled out of nowhere and spoke as if it made no difference whether we grabbed a random bite in an unfamiliar town or enjoyed the promised local meal—which was listed as one of the highlights of the tour.
After Sorrento, the bus took us directly to a local limoncello souvenir shop for another 20-minute stop. We were not informed about this shop visit until we arrived.
When we finally got to Pompeii, it was already 3:30 p.m. The local guide was professional, but unfortunately we only had about an hour and a half to explore the park, managing to see only about a quarter of the site before the bus left for the return to Rome.
Oh, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work either—though this was the smallest issue of them all.
Overall, the lack of preparation, poor communication, and repeated last-minute changes made this tour feel completely disorganised. It was the worst tour we have ever experienced!

Bus driver and lack of respect for other people's property - Bus driver threw away my personal property, said I could replace it in any grocery store. Ive looked all over and can not find a replacement glass bottle. Alot of the people on the bus had glass bottles of alcohol. But driver decided to throw mine out, not happy, prices online to replace are up to 10 times what i paid.

Pick pockets! - Just like the known pick pockets in Italy, this Tour operator pick pocketed my money and ran. Month’s from the tour date they changed the start time of the tour and never bothered to change it in the app. The voucher they sent me the day before the tour had the wrong start time. My family and I showed up at the wrong time due to their negligence. We were extremely upset because we missed the tour and the opportunity to visit Pompeii. To make matters worse, Viator and City Wonders refuse to refund my money. It is obvious that they made the mistake and I have proof of the incorrect time on the voucher, yet they still refuse. PICKPOCKETS!!! Must be an Italian thing! You guys are a disgrace!
