Pompei was a large and diverse city with a healthy mix of wealthy elite, merchants, artisans, and slaves whose lives you’ll get a crystal-clear glimpse of on a 2-hour walking tour.
After some rest-and-recharge at an authentic pizzeria, a short transfer will take us to our second destination.
Less than half the size of Pompeii, Herculaneum was a small coastal city characterized by remarkably preserved wooden structures and vibrant frescoes. With an expert guide by your side, walk in the footsteps of the noble Romans who once called this lost city home.
Upon conclusion of your tour, a short transfer will bring you back to Naples Station, where your fast train back to Rome awaits!

One of the best tours you can take as a day trip - We did three different tours in Rome and this was the best! Elaina was our guide. Very knowledgeable. She explained so many parts of the two sites that you wouldn’t have known just by walking it yourself. One of the things I liked the most about our guide was she kept track of us. Many other groups just had a flag and would walk ahead and wait for you to catch up. She was constantly accounting for us all. In a foreign place, that was important to me. It’s an all day tour. Wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen, and carry water. There’s very little shade so a hat is helpful.

Day trip to Napels and Pompeii - The guides were very informative and helpful from the beginning
of the trip to the end. I found the trip very interesting. The guide was very knowlegeable about history of the area and what happened there so many years ago. The train ride was
comfortable and you were able to see alot of the country side.
The lunch included was very good. We had a choice between pasta or pizza, salad, drink, and lite dessert. The bus ride was comfortable and the driver was very nice. Be prepared for a lot of walking and bring some water or water bottle. There are water refill stations. The weather was very hot, but the guide tryed to keep us in the shade as much as possible.

Wonderful!, - This is such a wonderful tour. We absolutely had the best time and learned so much. Our guide, Franchesca, grew up in the town of Pompeii and gave so many great details. Everything was taken care of well and all communication and transportation was super smooth. Lunch was also wonderful. We felt like this was absolutely worth the money and time and would not hesitate to do it again in a heartbeat.

Great day - Thanks Ciara (hope I spelt your name correctly) for a very special day. To see the ruins for the first time were truly mesmerising and Ciara made it even more special with her expert knowledge. If I’m completely honest I didn’t like the sound of the ticket / meeting situation but it went perfectly. The tour staff were right there where they said they would be. Lunch being great was a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see these archaeological sites.

Great Tour! - The tour guide possessed extensive knowledge and ensured that we visited numerous significant landmarks. The tour company arranged the experience to provide seamless support from the train station to the bus and back, eliminating any sense of vulnerability. Furthermore, the substantial lunch was a lot better than I expected, aligning it effectively with the exceptional service offered.

Hot but great experience nonetheless - This tour was wonderful! Our guide Marina was so informative. Unfortunately it was ridiculously hot so next time I would do this at a different time of year but she did an amazing job of pointing out the fountains so we could stay hydrated and make it safely through. The pizza lunch was lovely and the best pizza I’ve ever had! I hadn’t heard of the Herculeum before the trip but I’m so glad we got to see this as well. It was very well preserved.

Amazing Tour - Great to see Pompeii and then Herculaneum helps to understand everything. The age of the area and the organization of the past population is breathtaking, The tour group was very well organized and they were helpful.

Amazing view of the past - It was an amazing trip and the tour guide really knew her stuff. To visit these 2 sites and see how they lived and died 2000 years ago was incredible and eye opening, also, a little sad and sombre.
The archaeologists are doing a fantastic job of preservation and restoration to really make this trip worthwhile.

Great archeological tour! - Vince was an excellent and knowledgeable guide with a clear passion for these archaeological sites and the history of Italy. The day was well paced with a lunch stop along the way. The food was perfectly fine, but not the main attraction. Be warned it is really hot at these sites and sometimes there is little shade, so be prepared if you go during high summer season.
