- Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori - Campo de’ Fiori, meaning “Field of Flowers” in English, is a prominent square in Rome. It is bustling during the day with its flower, fruit, and vegetable market, and lively at night with crowded terraces.
- Piazza Navona - Navona Square is one of the most stunning and iconic squares of Baroque Rome, built on the ruins of the Stadium of Domitian. The current square’s shape mirrors the perimeter of the ancient stadium, constructed by the emperor in 86 AD for athletic events and horse racing.
- Pantheon - A source of inspiration for the greatest architects throughout history, its beauty, harmonious lines, and perfect geometries have captivated people both past and present. The story of one of the best-preserved examples of Roman monumental architecture begins in 27 BC, when Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, a close friend, son-in-law, and lieutenant to Augustus, commissioned a temple in this area dedicated to “all the gods.”
- Chiesa di Sant’Ignazio di Loyola - View, explanation, and pictures of the church from outside.
- Tempio di Adriano - Likely commissioned by Emperor Hadrian to honor his wife Vibia Sabina, who died and was deified in 136. The construction was completed around 145 A.C. by his son and successor Antoninus Pius, who dedicated it to the deified Emperor Hadrian.
- Trevi Fountain - The endpoint of the Vergine aqueduct, the only ancient aqueduct still in use today, the Trevi Fountain is the most famous of the Roman fountains.
- Foro di Traiano - View and explanation of Trajan’s Forum and the Imperial Forum.
- Piazza Venezia / Ancient City - Piazza Venezia stretches between Via del Corso and Via dei Fori Imperiali. Its current form results from renovations between the 19th and 20th centuries for the construction of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
- Arch of Constantine - The Arch of Constantine, located along the triumphal route between the Circus Maximus and the Arch of Titus, is the largest honorary arch that has survived. It represents a synthesis of the ideological propaganda of the Constantinian era, celebrating Emperor Constantine’s triumph over Maxentius on October 28, 312 A.D.
- Circus Maximus - The Circus Maximus is the largest ancient public entertainment building and one of the largest of all time (600 meters long by 140 meters wide). It is linked by legend to the city’s origins: the Rape of the Sabine Women occurred here.
