Hop-on-Hop-off Bus Tour is excellent! - The Hop-on-Hop-off Bus is a great way to view sight see around Rome. As you are allowed 3 circuits we went around twice to get our bearings and choose where we wanted to get-off to visit particular places. The third time around we got-off visited sites and then hopped back on to the next site. We did find on the last hop-on there were no seats on the top deck but we had seen all we wanted previously. Highly recommended, good value for the cost, versatile (hop-on, hop-off) bus tour!!

Greenline Hop on hop off bus - Bus took us to most of the places you need to see. It did what it said hop on hop off. The only thing a bit hit and miss was the commentary on ear phones.

So disappointing that it becomes a scam! - Almost no explanations throughout the journey. The system didn't work to explain the Colosseum to us! That says it all! The worst ride I've ever done in my life!

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid - Persuaded to buy these for 4 of us because it was only 1xEuro more for 2 day ticket and they have 3 routes. What we weren't told is 2 of the routes only run every 2 hours and the other is every 30min. We attempted 5 times to board the bus at different stops and only managed to get on once for a 4 stop journey home. The other times we had to walk or catch taxi. Usually 20 to 30 people waiting and only 3 or 4 get on. At 1 stop we were only ones waiting and after 10min the bus arrived but stopped about 30meters away, at a queue of 36 people. Apparently one of the 'staff' had decided to form this queue nowhere near the stop. Needless to say only 6 managed to get on. At each stop the other companies had 2 or 3 buses turn up for every 1 of Greenline and NONE of them turned passengers away. I have complained but they have just ignored me, so little chance of getting any money back. Having done numerous city tour buses in Europe this is THE WORST. Selling too many tickets for their capacity. 134Euros wasted.

Worst hop on/off experience ever. They sell way too many tickets and the buses do not come as often as promised. - Poor service, not enough buses and infrequent. The automated headphones don’t work at most seats. Book another company!!

Rude, Rude, Rude - Terrible Experience! The woman taking tickets was rude to the customer in front me and then proceeded to be another with me as we got on the bus. When asked a question she rudely snapped at us and we had to ask several Times before she finally gave a rude answer. Later, as we were getting off, we asked her for a map of the bus stops. Her response, “Right there in front of you”. If you don’t like tourists, don’t work on a tour bus!!!

Worst option in bus tour company in Rome - We chose this company in Rome because they had 3 lines. Unfortunately they sell way more tickets than they have seats and buses so we barely got to see 2 of the tours. Big mistake!!! It started with waiting almost an hour in a line in burning sun and luckily we decided to stay onboard for a full round because we would never have had any chance of getting onboard again. All over people were angry after waiting more than an hour for the buses that should arrive every 15 minutes. The excuse is that it is a busy Sunday but still they keep selling useless tickets all day. Waste of money, try one of the other buses as this by far is the worse in town.

Hell on wheels - Worst booking ever. Overfilled buses while Big Bus came 2x for every green bus. Seversl tomes had to wsit for next bus. Then after 48 hours of a 72 hour ticket attendant, who had no math skills, denied us boarding thinking our ticket had expired. Still had 24 hours on it. Try Big Bus. Wish I did!!!!

Dreadful - don’t use - This is the worse hop on hop off bus that I have used, ever! They advertise 3 routes, blue red & green / but in one day I only saw 2 buses in total? Had to wait more than 30 mins for any pick up, then there were too many passengers than seats. The information provide during the tour did not relate accurately to the position of the bus; no clear details on the next stop provided Avoid this tour operator & use the red top bus company

Very DIsappointing - Viator is always been our go to but was very disappointed in this tour and the fact that we wasted our money. On 6/1/25, when we were in Rome there were other citywide events taking place which ended up eliminating some of the stops you could get off at. Buses were overcrowded and it took significant time at each stop to load and unload passengers. We could walk the tour faster. I think Viator should have known and alerted those that signed up of the situation to be able to opt out.
