Admission is free for children under 18. Fantastic experience - Fantastic experience, Crown Tours are very good. Henri the guide was perfect, as an art historian he knew everything and then some. It was a long tour but so much content it flew by. recommend it highly

Excellent tour- just note “arena floor” is not the “underground” - Great tour and tour guide- Mariana M was fantastic providing great info, details, and pace. Her stories were even better with her picture book that helped visualize what the area would have been. Just note that this tour is for the “arena floor” not the “underground gladiator area”. The arena floor is absolutely still with visiting just note it’s the main level. Would suggest the company update the misleading description to reduce confusion and disappointment given the cost. Overall great experience!

Nice guide but couldn’t understand her - The guide was very sweet but her English wasn’t quite good enough to do an English tour so none of us could understand her. This isn’t anything personal, she was very very nice but I was dissatisfied.

Easier way to get a ticket, not ideal audio guide - I booked this because I was confused on how to purchase a direct ticket for the colosseum. I was under the impression it would come with a physical audio guide, but they had me download an app when I arrived. Some of our group were older people who didn’t bring phones, so we instead just had to relay information to them. I don’t remember seeing that it was an app on your own phone or I wouldn’t have booked it. It was still nice that I could get admission when I was so confused on how to buy directly. Their office was really close.

Not what we expected - Boring .Sitting on a bench in the Colosseum listening to the guide speak and show grainy pictures in a flip notebook was unexpected. More time was spent there than actually inside the Colosseum building.

Poor Time Management - Difficult to understand the tour guide.
My parents needed to take the elevator because of the stairs and the tour operator didn’t wait for us and continued to make comments about people not keeping up. The only time we were behind is when they needed to use the elevator and she was no help. Guide also couldn’t manage the time as we didn’t even get to go to the Forum because she spent too much time at the Colosseum and we had to leave.

Do Not Book!!!!!! - Terrible experience, booked a guided tour. We were 3 mjn late due to Race going on in the city. Contacted customer support that they wouldn't let us cross to meet them where they were at but that we were at the entrance of the Colosseum. They wouldn't give us refund, offer to just give us our ticket with not refund to the guided tour part. Would not recommend Crown tours. This is the last time I book with them. Last year I did the same tour with City Wonders and had a great experience.

Disappointing Tour - late and only one stop for photos at the Colosseum was underwhelming - We were disappointed in this tour along with others in our group. We started late then when we got to the Colosseum the tour guide stood and talked about the gladiators for far too long and rushed us past multiple photo stops. I had just don’t a tour last Nov of the Colosseum and was confused when he was rushing us by locations I recall stopping and taking photos. I didn’t say anything because I was hopeful he was taking us to other locations. Unfortunately we only stopped once the whole time for photos while in the Colosseum. He rushed us past the view point where the cross was. We stopped to talk about it but never took photos near it. Then he rushed us past the stop on the ground level by the gate were survivors exited and then before you knew it we were outside the Colosseum and we didn’t stop right by the exit where there is another great view point. I have so many photos from my last tour this was more than disappointing. When we got to Palotine Hill and the Forum it was also rushed and then the whole tour ran late because we started late. The other tour guide I had in Nov with a different company touched on all the same info but provided many more view points. We stayed mainly on the concourse and didn’t get to see much other than the pictures he was showing from in binder. Several people on the tour with us all expressed disappointment. We didn’t even stop to take photos outside the Colosseum. I would not take this tour again and wish I could get my money back.

Trust - I was promised a full refund by the representative at the colosseum and when got home told by email that they are not going to refund my money .Do not use this company they are not be trusted .
