This is how to experience Rome. - Amazing tour of super yummy and fast eats. Great pace and excellent selection of different grub. Aurelio was the man; telling us history and other factoids. Totally recommend…otherwise you are just another schmo walking the streets looking for another overpriced tourist trap restaurant.

An Unforgettable Evening of History, Flavors, and Views – All Thanks to Chiara! - An Unforgettable Evening of History, Flavors, and Views – All Thanks to Chiara! If you’re looking for an experience that blends delicious food, fascinating history, and stunning views, look no further than the Roman Trastevere/Jewish Ghetto Food Rooftop Aperitivo tour. We were lucky enough to have Chiara as our guide, and she made this evening absolutely unforgettable. Chiara is not only a food archaeologist (yes, that’s a real and amazing thing!) but also one of the most engaging, witty, and intelligent guides we’ve ever had. Her storytelling brought the streets of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto to life, weaving together centuries of Roman and Jewish history with the evolution of its street food. We sampled crispy fried artichokes, learning how and why they became a staple in Jewish-Roman cuisine. Chiara explained the origins of the Ghetto and how its residents ingeniously developed fast, affordable foods like this to survive—and eventually, thrive. Next came the Filetti di Baccalà, perfectly fried and flaky, paired with craft beer that balanced it beautifully. We also enjoyed the famous Gusti di Giorgio chicken sandwich in Trastevere—honestly, it’s worth the hype. The evening culminated on a beautiful rooftop overlooking the twinkling lights of Rome and the majestic silhouette of St. Peter’s Dome. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Chiara taught us how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz—a refreshing finish to a truly immersive evening. Chiara’s knowledge, passion, and humor turned this tour into so much more than just a food walk. It felt like an evening out with a brilliantly informed friend who just happens to know everything about Rome and its culinary soul. Highly recommend this tour—and if you can, ask for Chiara. She’s truly the best guide ever.

We were met on time and discovered we were only couple on this tour. We were very pleased with our guide Chiara B. - Excellent food and history. Met some of the food stop owners who shared their passion for their products. Authentic food with great ingredients from small shops. Chiara B. our guide was friendly and spoke amazing English and did not rush our tour. We shared a great fime on a rooftop terrace to complete our tour! Highly recommend!

Excellent tour and food - Our tour guide Annamaria was very nice and gave us a lot of insightful information. There was plenty of food (supli, Aperol spritz, 4 types of pasta, and a gelato), we were all very full but it was very delicious!
