Fashionable and tasty - Yes it is the fashion district, but there is also history so it's really nice to have a knowledgeable guide showing you around. There are just so many foodie places that I wouldn't have discovered on my own, I gladly went back to some of them. You just need a gelato or tiramisu break while doing your shopping. Such a good taste of Rome! Highly recommended

History and fashion - The "Spanish Steps" are interesting just based on history. The "Spanish Steps" was a gift from the King of Spain to the people of Rome. It is an amazing place for people watching ! If you look up from the "Spanish Steps" you will see the "Trinita del Monti" which is the French Church including the obelisk. If you look down from the steps you will see the "Fonta della Barcaccia" which is a fresh water fountain. On a hot day the water is very refreshing. If you look down and across the piazza you will see the beginning of "Via Condotti" which is shopping at the highest dollar level. It is usually crowded with shoppers looking for a bargain on quality merchandise. I will tell you that there are no bargains on "Via Condotti but if you like shopping it is the place to be.
