Completed in 80 AD under Emperor Titus, it had a capacity of up to 80,000 spectators. Rome acation - It was a rainy day. We went to the Colosseum to meet our guide. We had an excellent tour of the Colosseum with extremely relevant historical periods of interest. We then toured the Palisades and this too was very interesting. And English-speaking guide is a must. My only precaution is do not carry bags because they will be inspected and you may need to remove articles in your bag especially glass bottles
